Hello! I see you have stumbled upon my guide! Before you begin please read the rules that I am about to post; it is important that this thread be well managed so that everyone can get good use of it.

Rules
1. No spamming. I will merely ignore you, as will everyone else.
2. No flaming. If you want to argue with someone take it to PM. I don't feel like dealing with it.
3. No begging. There is a forum specially designed for asking for money/items. In fact, there are two that you can go to.
4. Don't ask me for money or items. I will be more than happy to accompany you to Jigsaw etc. and play a few games with you while you earn money, but I will not donate to you.

Making money on GaiaOnline is not hard. It merely takes patience and (often) some good people skills. One method of making your Gaia fortune is on Forums. Read the passage to find out what I mean.

Forums
Making money can be hard and require being very good at Jigsaws and word games, but not if you are aiming to make your gold via Gaia Forums.
In case you haven't noticed, every time you post in the Forums, you recieve a small amount of gold. I believe the first time you post you get 50gg and then it goes down from there. So, how do you make your money using Forums? Post. Its absurdly simple and takes little to no effort. Just find a post that catches your attention (i.e. "CB, What are you watching right now" wink and post a comment or your opinion. The more you post, the more gold you will get.
I am not saying that you will become a millionaire overnight if you do this, but it will definitely help push you along towards your ultimate goal. The only problem with the Forum method is the fact that the more you post, the less gold you recievie with each post. Therefore, it can sometimes be more beneficial to post until you begin to get only 1gg per post and then try a different method for half an hour or so. Once you come back, you should be back to recieving larger amounts per post.
Posting is not the only way that you can make gold whilst in the Forums. Have you ever noticed those pesky polls up at the top of some theads? Yup, those are perfect for getting some spare change. Just vote on whatever it is asking you to vote on/for and you will recieve your money. Like posting, the first time you vote you receive 14gg and it goes down from there. Whilst here, you may want to vote on my poll. Why not start earning now?

Another method for making money on Gaia is by using their game systems, read below to find out how.

Games
There are many game on Gaia that are not only fun but result in massive amounts of gold if played over time. Here are the Gaia games that currently dispense gold or can be used to make it:
Jigsaw
zOMG
Rally
Fishing
Slots
Cards
Wordbump
Pinball
Electric Love Factory

Jigsaw

Those who have played Jigsaw know that it is not an exact science. No one really knows if the amount of gold you recieve is based upon the number of mouse clicks it takes to solve the puzzle or the time it takes to complete it. Either way, Jigsaw is based on speed and skill.
You always have the chance to win more than gold when playing this fun game. In fact, I myself have won many things that have sold for over 3k in the marketplace.
Jigsaw has many levels of difficulty to choose from. If you are aiming to make gold, I reccomend playing on Normal or above, preferably Insane as they can bring in as much as 600 gold per puzzle not to mention they have the highest probabitly of giving you an extra item.

zOMG
zOMG is Gaia's newest game, and some people would claim that it is the most fun. Fun or not it is a very good way to make some extra cash. Everytime you complete a quest, you recieve small amounts of gold. Hence, the more quests you complete the more gold you earn.
Completeing quests is not thte only way that zOMG can make you richer than you wre just a few moments ago, it also give you recipes. Now some recipes are completely worthless and sell for nothing more the 2gg in the marketplace, however, there are some that can make you almost 30k richer.
One recipe that can be obtained and sold for a high price is Pearls. The latest marketplace value, I believe, was 35k if the recipe was made and sold. The recipe alone sold for 15k.

Rally
Rally is one of the least profiable games on Gaia. It was originally intended for fun not for money making. What little gold you receive playing it is not going to make much of a dent in your piggy bank. Just keep in mind, if you play this game for profit, that there are most likely better alternatives for gold-making.

Fishing
Fishing is one of those games where you do not profit directly per say, but you sell what you receive to make a profit. All you need to play the Gaia fishing game is some sort of fishing rod. Many people prefer the updated ones with speed or balance factors, a simple one will do for a beginner.
There are many kinds of fish that can be caught in all of the fishing places, but that is not the only thing you may catch. Trash can also be caught. If you accumualte a good amount of Trash, taking it to the Gaia Exchange forum to sell it might be a good idea. You can often get more for it and sell it faster there than you can in marketplace.

Slots
Slots are exactly what they sound like; those things that people play all of the time in Casinos. To play slots you must have tokens. You can buy those at Gold Mountain for 1gg each. Beware: Slots is purely a game of chance, therefore you can lose more money than you make.

Cards
Cards are another game to be played with tokens. This game is not run solely on chance, like Slots, it actually has a form of thought to it. While playing cards, you are battling a dealer in the game of 21 or Blackjack. You and the dealer both have the option of cheating, so be careful when you use that ability.

Wordbump
Wordbump is a game that consists of infinite levels. When you complete a level, you receive small amounts of gaia gold, as much as 25gg per level. You also receive prizes at the 30, 60, and 90 marks. Gold is not the only thing that this game offers. You can also get bachelor and Master's credits for playing. These can be exchanged for other items.

Pinball
Pinball is another game that slips you small amounts of gold over time. It is amusing, but probably not the best game to make gold quickly. You can also receive small, side items that can be sold cheaply in the marketplace.

Electric Love Factory
This game is the traditional plumbers game. You are connecting pipes to give an electric current to a robot. Yes, cheesy but you also recieve 15gg per round you complete.

Making money in marketplace is simple if you know how. Keep reading to find out.

Marketplace

You have probably heard this everywhere, but the honest-to-god secret to making money off of the marketplace is: Buy low and sell high.
It sounds so overused but it really works. Just don't buy something for 100gg and sell it for 2k, it just doesn't work that way.
If I wanted to make a profit off of, say my radiant prism. I bought it for 18k and I could sell it in the marketplace for 21k now, If I sold it I could make a 3k profit. That is how you get rich off of the Marketplace, making small profits that add up slowly to make big ones.

If you are trying to make money for a quest rather than merely personal profit, then there are many ways that you can go about making your money aside from what I have already stated. Here are a few.

Quests and Donation Threads
You can quest for pretty much anything that you want here on Gaia and because so many people do quest for things, there is a forum made especially for quests. To make money for your quest, I would begin by making a nice thread in that forum asking people (nicely...not begging) to help you get what you are questing for. And if all else fails you can turn to donation threads.
These threads are also known as AAY threads or "Avatar above you" Threads. What happens is you post what you want and why they should give it to you then donate a small amount (usually over 200 gold) to the person above you. The person below you should then donate to you. Most of the time, you should make a small profit, and this will add up over time
