Hackers are getting more advanced. A few cookie grabbing sites have popped up. Here's a journal entry that explains it:

You should really include this in this guide... even I fell for it.

http://i18.tinypic.com/5xt12xi.gif this just goes to show how incredibly important it is to check all links before clicking on them- even image links.

this doesn't just apply to gaia, but to every where. your gaia account info should be the least of your worries when online considering the very sensitive personal information people enter freely all over the web. in today's technologically advanced age it's all too easy to steal someone's identity or even find out all about them from where they live and work to where your kids go to school.

http://i18.tinypic.com/5xt12xi.gif if you just watch a person on a few social networking sites you'll find they talk freely or post publicly a lot of personal info. they also assume that by setting things to "private" that they really are private. nothing short of a heavily guarded secure network is truly private. i remember not to long ago someone sent me a link to their myspace page and i was able to find their address, school, place of business and favorite hang outs with in minutes. all to easily someone could use that to stalk them...

it really is scary how people don't think twice about their safety when sharing this information.

I don't even tell people the state I live in, much less my address! This is just so... wow eek Why do they do that? Don't they know about these kinds of things?

I wanted all things to seem to make some sense, so we could all be happy, yes, instead of tense. So I made up some lies, made them all fit nice, and I made this sad world a
