Excuse me, what do you do if you were about to report a post and then the user deletes it and you have no evidence?
Okay, this is how it happened. My friend clicked on a phishing link that directed her to a page that looked just like the Marketplace, except she'd been logged out. So, she entered her password and username of course, and sure enough, she can't log in.
Anyways, she contacted me over the phone and gave me a link to the thread over MSN from her browsing history, and I told her it was a phishing scam.
Now, here's where we screw up a bit. I was too late to report the post and the user deleted it. I still have the link to the phishing site, but I'm unsure of what to do.
So, any advice?

when a user deletes a post it only becomes deleted to regular users, staff accounts can still see it. PM a mod a link to the thread and tell them the post was deleted but people were still scammed by it.

Okay, so I just got an invite to the battle system beta that I am 99.9% sure is real. I mean, it's from the admin account with the official orange lettering and everything. The only thing that's got me on edge about it is the link it takes me to has a slightly funky name. Is it normal for extra lettering to proceed the www part of the address? I've been hacked once before, and I'm just trying to be careful, so please, help me out here.
as long as gaiaonline is right next to the .com it's on the gaiaonline domain. i know gaia's beta testing servers tend to have stuff in front of gaiaonline.com.

I've been browsing through the different examples of scams you have up, and to tell the truth, I'm afraid I might actually fall for one of them, especially the Towns hack and the phishing scams.
Thank you so much for all your help and I still can't believe why more users ren't refering to here.

hm... there wasnt anything in my trading history that i didnt do. Its like they just dissapered, do u think the glitch happened to me? Could i get them back?
PM a mod and ask them to check your gift log for you. they can see if it was gifted to anyone. i have not heard of items being eaten by the inventory system lately so that is highly unlikely.
