um, excuse me, but i need help. my friend got hacked. how, i don't know. but i know 4 sure that she would never give out her password. also, i've found out that the person who hacked her is naming his/her victims "Chaos purp hack" go see 4 urself. he/she has already hacked 2 people!

I've only have been attempt-hacked twice in my 3 years on Gaia. I just rolled my eyes and deleted it. Why doesn't everybody else do the same? Geez. <.<;;

because you're supposed to report it... just deleting them is no fun and lets them continue to try and scam.


FantazyDreamer- only your friend can figure out what she did to get hacked, there are many ways aside from giving out your password. most people who get hacked these days usually fall prey to a phishing site. it's also possible she had a bad password that was easy to guess. maybe a keylogger, forgot to log out on a public computer, cookie grabber... only she would know.

well actually, she doesn't know how she was hacked. all we know is that she was hacked and that whoever hacked her, he changed her username, password, and e-mail. so she really doesn't know how 2 stop him. (the reason i'm calling the hacker "him" is because it was confirmed by 1 of my friends who is helping me find the hacker, that the hacker is indeed a male. my other friend found the original hacker's account.) oh and my friend doesn't use public computers. and we also found out how the second victim got hacked. he actually gave out his password. but i know my friend didn't do that. if u wish 2 help u can contact my friend through her sister Dreamy_midnightmoon.

yes, i know about that. it links to a phishing site where you "claim your prize". phishing sites can easily be avoided by checking the URL in the address bar.
