uuuuuupdate lol. the newest scam is quite the lulz. it's probably the worst scam attempt in the history of this guide.

this 1 is going around lately 2... notice his name and his spaces between letter with an example containing NARUTO! i never heard of an admin or a moderator using naruto as example...

(and to answer ur question with the klaar om the beginnen and stuff... thats just dutch -.-'')

edit: if ur getting banned most moderators or admins will type PERMABANNED

thanks, that's just another example of the classic password scam. it's the most popular and one of the most obvious scams... yet seems to get quite a lot of victims.

you can notice right away that the copyright info is wrong, which seems REALLY silly when they can just copy it right from the bottom of the page. gaia is not copyright 2007 and it is not "interactive device" LMAO.

everything else is the same old same old...
- no orange username
- asks for personal info including password
- time limit for response (scare tactics)
- "mumbo jumbo" info at the bottom to make it look official

it hurts my brain trying to figure out how people still fall for this scam.

Just the other day someone tried to scam me with a beta battle scam but I look in the MMO forum and pay attention to what people say and read everything so I wasn't fooled a bit. 3nodding blaugh

he is probebly thinking nah... i dont think he sees the connection (he also changed his name)

Sorry for long post, just 2 messages I got myself. I hope that will help other users, my friend got hacked as well confused I put black stripe in the location bar just in case, I don't know what are they capable of sweatdrop

in case of second image, there was no avatar when I got the message, I did't check it later on, just today to upload it.

but what kind of logo is that, old one? And the address go-gaia.com? I tried to visit the site, but couldn't load.

and don't forget that probably (maybe I'm wrong) admins wouldn't have avatars wearing clothes that every gaian could have??

Well, that would be great way to recognize real admin, I'm not saying that they should wear all collectibles etc, just clothes you couldn't actually buy anywhere and get from anybody. And the admin accounts could be account just to send messages and do admin stuff, they couldn't buy anything or give anything to anybodym and they could have another, normal account with no special 'powers'
