Obvious scam link. I don't trust any PM's, emails, anything. If "Gaia"
( RIIIGHT) were to try to convince me that I needed to click on a link and re-enter my password for some kind of special goodie, I pity the idiot if I ever lay hands on him. I am suspicious of everyone here, including all of you. I refuse to click on ANY links in forums. Also, there's a groovy little function on our profile preferences page that allows you to turn on a big red flag whenever you leave Gaia. I use it. If anyone here has that function disabled, I highly recommend that you turn it on.

But if you enter your password after you see the huge red and white banner telling you not to, you're a damned fool.

Change your passwords regularly.
Keep your IRL info to yourselves.
Avoid those damned quizzes like they have the Ebola Sudan virus.
And don't be a chump and try for those " Free Goldz" things either. I may be a newb, but I'm sharp enough to know that nobody gives away free money, either real OR imaginary.
Be suspicious.

a lot of the links in the AL are broken. they won't be fixed until i have the time to look for more stable links.

whenever i click a link, it gets tabbed, so the password is remembered and goes straight to the home page...I' ve done that a couple times. can that give away or enable my account to be hacked, or do i actually have sign in?

i was just wondering if any one knows anything about that?

are you saying that when you click on a link it opens in a new tab and you're logged in... or are you saying you're not logged in?

I have been hacked (( they stole 400k from me)) and they made up a link (this link goes no where dont worry its just underlined and colored blue...) xD Giveaway forum! Come quick! and i mis-clicked it because i was expecting a youtube video link from a friend and i thought it was her joking xD (( for me i have a total of 4 hackings totaling 600k.))

when you click a link and its a fake gaia or something and no matter what your user and password is remembered. It is not a "logging in thing" it just doesnt go that far...

unless the website has a cookie grabber it can't get your login info unless you put it there since it's not on the gaia online domain.

just like if you have an account with yahoo.com it doesn't automatically try to log you in under your yahoo account info here on gaia.
