Ok.
I just got hacked today.
Didn't tell anyone my pass or nothin'.
I probably got phished. [A friend told me something about it.]

Lucky, I got to reactivate a new password and get this account back.
The hacker's name is borohell.
And yes, I reported the hacking, but I dunno how to report her.

Also, I didn't take screen caps, is that ok?

Anyway, when you say "ripway".
Will that mean ripway.com?
'Cause, that's where I get my playlist songs from..
Like the ones in my profile.

You should have some sort of virus protection, there are a few links on the front page.

You cannot report individual users. Becuase you reported the hacking, the hacker shall be dealt with as well.

Well, your trade and gift giving history should stay the same unless you trade or give gifts on the hacked account. You should take some screenshots right now if you plan on doing either of those two.

I guess just "ripway" would mean ripway.com. I would suppose the Omni Mod that deals with your report would ask if they had any questions.

You can have as many accounts as you want, so if you want another account, you can go ahead and make one. Keep in mind each individual account requires an e-mail address not already registered with another Gaian account, and the same rules apply to all your accounts.

I've been on gaia for about a year now. I haven't gotten a PM from anyone before trying to hack me until today wheI got a PM from Team Banning Server.
They were asking me for my username which was odd to me. Why ask for it when you're sending me a PM and wanting me to reply to it? Shouldn't you be able to figure that part out easily?
They also asked me for a password, and my e-mail address. Their avi was shadowed and I saw that their name was blue. I was kinda panicked to be honest.
I wasn't all that sure what to really think. But i stayed calm and I reported it instead. The timing was rather interesting because someone had just bought something from me in the marketplace that was rather expensive and I wouldn't be surprised if people looking to hack were in area's such as that hoping that they'd find someone that has either items or gold worth taking.
Anyway, I think this guide is quite helpful. I even used it to reference things before I made the report so I wouldn't feel like i was wasting a moderators time, but I suppose with cases as serious as this it's better to take percaution and maybe waste a few minutes of someones day rather then risk running into problems later.
Anyway thank you for having the guide for other peoples uses and for people to use it as a reference. It's a valuable resourse, and an important one.

I removed the music player from my profile. Just in case.

I wonder how long I would get a reply.
I remember a friend getting hacked and got her stuff back I think the next day or the same night she got hacked.

wait times vary case-by-case, in general you can expect at least a couple months wait because the report queue is backed up quite a bit due to the lack of omni mods.

this guide deals with hacking, this is not a simple subject. it's not something you can make a useful guide out of in just a couple sentences.

well, if you don't want to read it don't bother posting here again. "tl;dr" is not useful feedback, this guide is only going to get longer as new threats arise.
