glad you enjoyed the guide (and didn't fall for the scam).

The thing about it is, I almost did. The person kept on pleading, and eventually, I didn't answer and I deleted her messages. (big mistake) When I went to the person's profile, I saw another person that she'd tried to scam, and I PMed her about it, she told me that whoever the person was gave her the same PM. It's weird, but I actually gained a really good friend through some person trying to phish me. (It was a while back ago, maybe in January?) O-o

Nice thread, and very useful. I was hacked back in Dec. but that wasn't due to a scam. I guess someone just found out my password. Sucked sweatdrop

if it's through e-mail there's not much you can do except ignore it and/or raise awareness.

remember, the gaia staff won't bother to PM you if they think you're hacking. they'll just ban you- no questions asked- when they have enough proof.

if ANYONE asks you if you want free gold and sends you a link or asks for your password, report them immediately and don't click the link or respond.
