Woohoo for a new item. :3 I think I like the regular ol' guitar pose the best, though the ball and chain is rather nifty for matching purposes. That smashing guitar pose looks great on ya. Your avi is near perfect. I'd just recommend adding some white to the head. Umm, possibly the white complex headband or anything you find that works.

Ummm... I don't know. I find it to be about even, but i guess that comes from playing on dream creators for years. XD;
Each base has its pros and cons. With a female avatar, you have to be more careful to not make yourself top heavy. You don't have the wider stance to balance yourself out. You usually can't get away with bare arms.
I think it's much easier to make a classic, simple (but with many layers) matching avatar on a male base. For cluttered matching... I hear many people say it's easier on a female base. I'll go by that. I've never tried to make a super cluttered matching avatar on a guy avatar. . -.

As Cabbi said pretty much.
I just want to add that the cluttered matching is a lot easier to me. Looking back on avatars that made me go "Wow" before of mine haven't really made me do that now that I have played with the female base because my last avatars have been a lot more cluttered matching and a lot better. Plus i find that all my avatars just seem to flow together now.
I also find it easier because you have a lot more choice of items. You can wear skirts more (Not that that stopped me XD) and heels look good, which makes some avatars a lot easier. You know? You can wear bows and things and not be classed as a cross dresser and stuff.

But anyway you have already changed so yeah XDD
