Holy hell, Saiph and Hatsya are sparkling?!
Yeah, you said it.
It seems that something new is coming!!
We're left hanging at the end of the comic, wondering whaa-?
However!The colors do represent something.
It seems that all the sparkling items are cash items.
While you might not have bought them for cash, they were at one time.
Colors and meanings in next post.
Let me know if anything needs to be updated!
Update: The Gaia Blog seems to have some answers!
Update: Lanzer has answered a few questions for us!
Also, in the same thread, it seems that later we will be able to turn off the sparklies if we want!
Yet another update: A dev talking about the sparkles being turned off in inventory.
Chibi Halo
Contradictment is right it's just to distinguish Premium cash items from non cash items because there have been increasing reports of people being scammed out of two hundred grand or more in gold when they believe they are buying a Winter Rose from someone in the Exchange and it turns out to be nothing more than the White Rose Wristlet Corsage from one of the NPC gold shops. The devs did what they could by changing the look of the corsage to add in some green leaves to its preview image but even then people were still getting scammed by having the legit seller change what item they were trading after the trade was first initiated and the gold in play. The person who was scammed then ends up with a 200 grand wrist corsage. So yeah it's the popularity of an item that a group of people believe is street and cool that is making a lot of eager people become innocent victims and Gaia needing to take the steps they did.
It's explained in the site blog but the specific incident mentioned (take that Winter Rose scammers!) confused a lot of people who read the blog yesterday.
