So...I have a question similar to one that was answered...
When buying something with Gaia cash, if the thing with the largest Cash to gold return is a CI, would it be smarter to buy it, but wait to sell it until after the CI is removed from the shop?

I mean, just buy it and pretend that I bought it for hoarding?
~King Awesome

If it was close to time for it to be removed than the answer would be yes but this close to the release you would be better off selling immediately and then in a couple weeks using the gold to rebuy in a couple of weeks. You should have enough gold to rebuy more than your purchased originally, But if you want to boost that more use the gold as exchanging/vending capital in between now and the time to buy.

Ah. :3
Also, when hoarding CIs, do you prefer to buy bundles, then open them up / and sell single, or just buy and sell as bundles?
And how much do you usually buy?
Last time I bought 4 bundles, opened, and sold, but I felt that more than that would be harder to sell, but I don't know. xP
~King Awesome

It depends on the relative price. If there is only a small price disparity between what I would get just selling the bundle and what I would get if I sold as all singles I might prefer to sell the bundle and get my gold faster. But if it's substantially more profitable and/or I'm not in a hurry to sell then I'll sell as singles.
These days 5-10 bundles. I used to do 10-25 but it is harder to sell when you have more and I'm trying to diversify more and not buy tons of one thing.

Ah. :3 Makes sense.
Well, I'll probably buy 3-5 this month, depending on how much I want to spend, lol. I'm fairly certain that I have enough capital to buy 5-10 every month, but I much prefer to be confident with my skills before doing it. :3
In other news, I bought two bundles, and with the remaining 500gc, I bought two Aquarium 4th strike packs. (I know that they are techinically CIs, but I notice that they give out Stone Coatls and Airsharks on a rather high percentage. I got 3 Stone Coatls from that, and one stone coatl is enough to profit for 1 of the packs...so whenever I have extra GC, I usually get those)

But anyways, thanks again. :3

Screw your CI statistics. I bought a Super Prize 2012, opened it. Got a Dark Reflection 2. Played it.
I now have Milk the cat.
For 200k.

But, since that will never happen ever again, I intend to sell it, get an OMG, and then keep hoarding and vending. :'D
And not opening CIs. xd

Obviously people have to occasionally get ridiculously lucky otherwise there wouldn't be any rare items.

Lol, I know. I was joking. xP
I doubt I'll get that lucky again, and I doubt I'll be trying for quite some time.

But...yeah....5 years of not opening any large CIs, and I get super lucky, lol....now I'm gonna wait another 5 years...
Until then, I'm gonna keep going with the much more reliable method of vending, exchanging, and hoarding.

This seems rather useful. I know some members who should look into this thread. I been wanting to get better at raising some gold myself so I might want to read this later on.

You should definitely read it if you're interested in learning to earn your own gold. And feel free to share it with anyone and everyone.

I always advertise it to people, as it's probably the best guide I have. Seriously. Since doing the stuff in this guide (starting in the summer) I've made 30m. o_O
The problem is the more people I tell about it, the more competition there is. emo

I guess vaguely but it's highly unlikely to be noticeable. I haven't noticed any increased 'competition' since I started it.

Lol, I haven't noticed it either. But I just like to have "awesome secrets" even if they aren't secrets. >_<

I'm best at keeping secrets if I tell one person who is unrelated to the secret and doesn't know the people involved. Otherwise I want to tell everyone ever. >.<

I'm sorta the same way, lol.
I also don't like keeping things like gold making secret. Specific methodology however, I have no problem with keeping private. xP
For example, I'm not gonna tell someone exactly what I do and don't buy. I'll let them figure that out on their own, with a push in the right direction. :3
