The Fallout games are great classic roleplaying experiences, and New Vegas is a wonderful modern revival.

If you like indie-style horror-type rpg-ish games, Ib is really really good! I love everything about it. The puzzles are fun, the characters are great, and the art is unique and captivating. Also it's free!

If you're willing to spend ~30 or 40 bucks, Endless Space is fun fun fun!! It's on steam! It's kinda like Civ5, a colonization/empire building game, with competitive online. (if you buy this hmu on steam and i'll totes play w/ u)

Magicite is a roguelike game (also on steam) with pretty pixels and glowy things. You craft tools to gather resources and survive in a multitude of different randomized cave complexes, attempting to reach the end stage (of which is extremely hard, I hear. I haven't gotten past the 4th cave LOL).

Mario Galaxy 2 for WII many worlds, fun to play, fun to look at, challenging.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl on wii. many characters. many items. fun fighting

Zelda: Skyward Sword. fun challenging adventure. story, side quests

Skyrim for xbox or ps3. It's a big open world with mamy quests, monsters, animals, and places.

Mafia 2 for 360 ( I believe on ps3 as well). you feel like you're in the 40s/ 50s lol

Assassin's creed Brotherhood (360/ps3) It's really fun..... lol

Skyrim for the pc is better if your computer can run it since you can download mods for the game.

the last story for the wii is pretty good.

if you like jrpgs then go for persona 3, tales of series
