Can anyone help me? Moderators included?

I tried Brawling with other players in the Kung Fu Brawl game, but something keeps happening so that it won't let me actually play. Regardless of whether I send or accept a challenge, once I get to the attack select screen, the game seems to just stop working. It's nothing to do with my computer. I've checked to make sure I have the Java player and all. I can put my attacks in the slots but it won't register when I click the "Ready!" at the bottom of the screen. Even though I continuously try with different players the result is the same and the session times out.

I'm out of ideas as to what could be wrong so... could someone help me? If so, please PM me an answer. I'm open to any ideas.
