no its not Gaia is only enhancing the experience and one thing that i think everyone is intrested in is a new battle system still in development ^^

Not really. Gaia's main focus is providing through forums whereas neopets avoids forums as much as possible. The only thing you CAN do there is buy, sell, join guilds. Here there is always somewhere for you to go and chat.

Neopets is a much more ego-centric site in that you really don't interact with others very much and when you do it's very short and impersonal. Gaia, however, is built on the foundation of a community. Before housing, fishing even trading etc. the site was just a regular web forum board with the option of buying stuff for your customizable avatar. It's roots are in the inter-personal relationships you have rather than just doing stuff for your own sake.
