My fishy friends - good ter' see ya! I know this update has been a long time in comin'! Alas, cleanin' up the filth from Gaia's lakes is taking longer than expected. Indeed, there are a lot of nefarious bottom-feeders that need weedin' out. Not to fear though - your pal Logan is still on it, and I’m bustin’ my hump so that you good fishing folk can reap the rewards of your time and effort!
The bottom-feeders clogging up the scoreboards are still being cleaned out. Indeed, there are tons of 'em! This takes a lot of my time as I have to separate the filthy scum from the fabulous legitimate fishers. I will be awardin’ the Fishing Trophies for 2008 today, while still cleaning off the barnacles from the scoreboards of previous months. I know this is a bit backward and all, but better to get out the trophies I can now than make everyone wait even longer! Not to fear my friends - by Poseidon’s grace, I will try my best to see that all winners from the past will get their trophies at some point!
As always, I think you are the best for havin' patience and understandin’ as I get rid of the vermin!

** New Rule for 2009: No Using Multiple Accounts at One Time to Fish for Trophies **
'Tis a New Year my friends, and after thinkin' about Fishing 2008, I have decided that there need to be some changes to the way people fish for trophies. Surely, we all want to have a fun time and for as many people as possible to win their beloved fishin’ trophies. But after lookin' at some of the scores for 2008, I noticed that a number of people had multiple accounts fishin' for each month's trophies...often they had 3, 4,or 5 accounts all in the Top 10 scores.. for ONE LAKE! I don't know about you, but 5 accounts in the top ten of Durem for one month is, shall we say, a little fishy.
To stop this from happening in 2009, I'm makin' the following rule which will be effective as of today, February 19th, 2009:
If you are fishing competitively to win a trophy, use only one account. I don't care if you use your main account or a secondary (mule) account, but pick ONE account and stick to it. I don't wanna see anyone with multiple accounts in the Top 10 of the same lake again! Now, I realize that legitimate competitive fishing can mean an account wins more than one trophy a month in various lakes, but nobody should have more than one account on the scoreboards. It is suspicious-like, and it takes away from others' enjoyment of fishing - and their chances of winning a trophy too.
Anyone caught with more than one account in the Top 10 spots for any given lake will be keel-hauled….or maybe just removed from the scoreboards, losing the chance to win a trophy for that month and will be warned to about behavin' in such a manner again.
Keep it clean and fair and everyone will have a good time at the ol' fishing hole...
** New Rule for 2010: No sharing your account with another user to fish for trophies! **
My fishy friends - I know you love yer trophies, and get really excited about winning them each month but it is *not* ok to let someone else onto your account to fish for you.
Sharing your account so someone can fish for you while you are away from your computer is a form of cheating. That is not fair to the guys and gals who are working hard to legitimately earn trophies by themselves. How can they possibly compete when some of you are able to fish all day and night non-stop because you have extra help? It is unfair I tell ya, and I won't have it in my lakes or competitions!
To stop this from happening anymore, I'm makin' the following rule: Account sharing to fish for trophies is not allowed and disqualifies you from winning a trophy. If you are found to be account sharing, your name will be removed from the scoreboards and you will be warned. Also be aware that account sharing is considered a form of hacking on Gaia and continuing to share accounts after you have been warned could lead to an account ban.
Take care my friends - play fair and have fun!
Your Pal,
Logan
