Welcome to Gaia! ::

I have been a member of Gaia for about seven years. I have always wanted to improve upon my fishing ability on here, but I've never been good enough to succeed out of Bass'ken Lake. Even then, I want to know more of the intricacies of fishing--the best times to fish, how to better pinpoint the type of fish on the line before I make a catch, anything.

Essentially, I want to apprentice a "master" fisher, at his or her convenience. xp It would only be a chat once a week or fishing together sometimes.

If not, I want some buddies who are into fishing any way. :3 I went on hiatus for a year and not many of my Gaia friends come online anymore. Makes it a bit lonelier.

To be honest, you just need to practice more to be better at fishing. There really isn't any secret tricks behind the game. No one really is a "master" fisher, if you're talking about those users, who have caught rare fish, that was really based on luck. Furthermore, I really don't see how you can be an apprentice. =/
Unless you want to be a hardcore hipster and fish with a basic rod all the time, getting a better fishing rod usually helps a noticeable amount if you haven't picked one up already.

Another thing would be to read up on the fishing guides floating around this forum even if they do look monstrously long, they're also monstrously informative and less prone to human temperament than a "master" may be.

Fishing can be lonely when you don't see any familiar faces, I understand that part all too well. Unfortunately, I can't help you in Bass'ken as that lake puts me to sleep, I'm firmly wedged in Gambino (I just realized how wrong that sounds after I typed it, but I don't care enough to rephrase). xp

Best of luck to you.

I shall be fishing in Bassken some this month, just look for my room, always glad to make a new friend, and help anyone who wants to fish. I usually try to sit on the demonic server.
