Quick question with the fish in a lake.

Say you start a bucket with A bait, andyou want to filter the bucket. Since with ever A bait bucket there is a possible 9 large to catch my question is this.

Say you hook a large fish but lose it at the last second, do you now have only a chance to catch 8 in that bucket or still 9? same goes for the small fish.
Say there are the 54 small fish, you filter out 20 small is there still 54 small fish left, or now only 34?

You still have 9 and still have 54. It only matters what you actually catch.

Since you recieve your angelic rod after catching 75,000 total fish and junk, would you happen to know how much (if there is a number) that they would use for getting the angelic rod plus?
