Fishing, still a source of gold?

Anyway, like the title... a few years back when gaia didn't have zomg booty grab jigsaw etc etc fishing was a pretty good way to make gold (if I remember correctly that is)
Is it still a pretty good way to make gold?
For example how long would it take to make 1000 gold? (without rare fish)

Just catch 1 tuna/striper/boldur.
Any large fish can easily be sold for 1k each.
Boldurs themselves can go for 3k each.
Fishing extensively during a month can make you quite a lot of gold.

Fish are a great and fast way to make gold.
People want the fish to make items, you can find a guide here that shows you what you can make using how many fish and other items required.
The best way to make gold is by catching the "old" Large fish (Stripers/Tuna/Boldurs). The best way to catch these are with Distance Rod + since you have a your cast go out as far as you can for a longer chance of hooking a large on the line. You have a limit though of 9 larges per A bucket though, so catch "old" Mediums(Bass/Trout/Biters) to exchange them up to make Larges.

I didn't know how popular the items were so i wasn't sure. I don't see people using them much aside from the trout stuff now~

Myeah ,fishing is still a good way to make gaiagolds if ya use the marketplace and exchange..

...ofcourse you'll have to fish lots for good gains though! (Unless you catch a rare)

Alchemy also pushed the prices of small fish up. So between that and the newer fishing item exchanges, I'd say you can still make decent gold off of it.

I've made +140k on fishing in 2 days... and have only spent like 10k on bait... so.. yeah defiantly a good source of income X)
