Aquarium Lite Fish?

So ,Gaia has finally allowed linking fished fishies with aquarium fish.

I really dislike the following notions concerning this new exchange ;

New lite aquarium fish
- They do not invoke Booty Grab

Why not have just a lesser chance of invoking bootygrab? Do they really have to disable it?

- They have a shorter lifespan

Our fished fishes/lite aquarium fish are worth less than the regular aquarium fishes now?
I mean ,why fish and exchange for 100 green seedkins so you can make an aquarium fish ,
which then dies much sooner than its "non-lite" equivalent? And with no bootygrab chance?

- They are free (from daily chance, dumpster dive, or exchange)

Does this mean we no longer get "non-lite" aquarium fishies from the daily chance? I think it does.

The result of this will be lots fewer booty grab tanks available...maybe it'll even become super rare..

I do however like the fact they now allow these exchanges between aquarium fish and fished fish.
It may bring the marketplace of fishies to greater activity and bring popularity of fishing back up :3

ya i got a lite fish last night, and i dont think im happy about it.....i live off booty grab, and this is bad for profit!

I got a non-lite aqaurium fish this morning from the dumpster dive. I guess they didn't take them out completely.

the lite fishies arent very useful for people that survive on booty grab, but if you want a pretty tank with cool fish for a cheaper price then they're good. i have 4 lite fish, 3 coco catfish and 1 nautilus, the lite cocos are about 50k each in the MP last time i checked and the not lite are about 300k i think idk really i havent looked

I think it's possible to still receive non-lite fish in DC, DD, etc. I got one from DD yesterday.

I'm loving the exchange between fishing and lite fish. The only reason I'm fishing FAR more than usual is because of these lite fishes for the alchemy items. (Also, they die quicker, which awesome) I think alchemy has a big demand, but most alchemy components are super inflated because of their rarity. So I'm assuming this is Gaia's fix to alchemy.

I hope this revives fishing. I'm beginning to love it now. heart

Fish from the daily chance drop incredibly low gold amounts that most people rarely play those tanks
I know I skip them completely, not worth the effort
I HIGHLY doubt this is effecting Booty Grab

I'm happy with this
because now it means I can have sweet fish in my tank
I got a turtle in DD recently, I never thought I'd see one in my aqarium
even if it is lite, it's the thought

This has also got me to start fishing again and in bigger places
After a few days fishing I got my Mr. Pinchi <3

Also the prospect of alchemy components peeks my interest
I hope this will provide a fix for this mess they put themselves in
what with component scarcity and all

yeah I'm in agreement with the whole alchemy thing sounding very inviting. I'd love to be able to get my hands on a few more items without having to pay exuberant prices for them. Plus i've actually started to play the fishing game again too because of this, so yeah I think it's a good thing overall smile

I'm happy with my own Dolphins, but I think these new fish is abit of a ploy to make people forget about the cheap cash fish (exa: Memphis Mermaid) from the shop the removed (temporarily) in order to slow the rate of new Aquariums tanks being made.
