All contests open
Wednesday, April 1st (April Fool’s day. Lawlz.) and end
Saturday, April 25.
Remember you have a whole month to work on stuff! So take your time and do your best!!
Please note that you don't have to enter the contests, nor do you have to pick a side. You can sport the general awareness ribbon/dress up all daffodilly if you don't want to join any teams.

Gaia Contest!
Choose a team! Your team reflects the type you’re most interested in. Maybe it has affected you personally, or you’ve heard a lot about it and want to learn more… maybe you just liked its color or closed your eyes and poked a list! However you choose, the rules are simple. Design an avi (on Tektek) sporting your team’s colors. (Team Kidney is green, Team Brain is gray, etc.) White is acceptable for Lung instead of clear.
Don’t forget to include daffodils! (We have just been reminded that Tektek doesn't have bouquets so scratch that... but don't you think it should?

Everyone entering the Gaia contest will submit ONE tektek via PM to the event mule. The avi must be color-themed to your team. (Yes, other colors are allowed, but it must be obvious what team you're representing. Also, say which team your in when you send it.) If you do not have a team, you cannot enter the contest. You won't be allowed to edit or replace your entry so make sure you have it perfect before submitting. The deadline for entries is April 25. Winners will be one from each team and one overall.
IRL Contest!
Same as the avi contest, except IRL! Whoever has the most awesome team garb from each category will win, as well as one overall. 10k from each category and 50k overall. You’ll need a sign with your screen name in the photo. Don’t forget to include daffodils in it if you can. ;d
The guidelines for the IRL contest are a bit more flexible than the Gaia one. The most important element is creativity. Your entry can be a picture of you in team garb, or it could be something team-related that you made. It could be color-coordinated or related to the part of the body. (For example, a person representing Brain Cancer could do something with the color grey or with brains, or both.) Your entry can be light-hearted or serious. Also, you are allowed to send in as many entries as you want, and the entries can be photo and video. Be sure to indicate who you are with a sign or verbal confirmation or else we can't credit the entry to you. The deadline for entries is April 25. Remember that any entries sent before April 1st WILL BE DELETED. Winners will be one from each team and one overall.
Entries for the IRL contest will be sent to Blaizekit.
Spirit contest!!
As an added bonus, throughout the event, whichever group has the most enthusiasm will win for their cause a real-life donation of at least
10 dollars. This will go up depending on how many people I know IRL I can rope into this thing, for I am poor, but the amount will be at least that much. If I can’t find a way to donate directly to the cause, I’ll submit a general donation to ACS. Of course, you are welcome to make donations of your own.

So get out there and show your team spirit!! This will be done through the
guild, where you can chat with your team, organize get-togethers, and post your art/avis/and photos.
The spirit contest is based on how organized and enthusiastic your team is. There are a lot of ways a team shows their spirit. They take the initiative to recruit more people, hold their own contests, and organize meetings in Towns and basically act as if they genuinely care about awareness of their type. Due to the nature of this kind of contest, we want to make sure that the people doing these things aren't out for personal gain. Because of that, there is no Gold prize for this. The team that me and the mods deem "most spirited" will recieve a real-life donation for their type.

If you don't put in your entry correctly, it will be deleted. Simple as that. Make sure you carefully read the rules for each contest. Tektek entries go to the mule. IRL entries go to me. If you post Tekteks in the thread, we'll assume that you're doing it for others to critique, not to enter it in the contest.
When you send your Tektek, say in the PM which team you're on. It should be obvious by the colors, but we don't want to take any chances.
Winners will be judged by me and my mean team of thread mods, so that each of us can be on a team and ensure fair judging.
Weekly Contests!
There will be weekly contests held througout April to keep things fresh and lively around here. Here's the catch; like many things, you must go to the
TDM Guild to participate in it. Don't delay! Fabulous prizes and fierce competition awaits.
