Those lazy a** doctors in France didn't even try any treatments on my grandmom. THey just waited for her to die. x_x I don't want to talk about the amount of rants my mom had with those lazy a** doctors there... And it was ust to get her an IV since she could barely eat anymore.. Couldn't really chew. I wonder why she was able to eat that really really good french food things on the last day I saw her.
She seemed really happy.

Now that I think about it, I was putting in a picture of my grandma in a messed up clay picture frame just as she died. Oh the irony..

My uncle died of pancreatic cancer.. And my dad is worried that he's gonna die of it now. D=

Eh... We have plenty of cancer and heart disease problem in our family. I'm gonna die young. ^^"

it would be a nice Idea to include the original thread so people can see what it was all about..

Anyway also like VO said to me last year make sure it's centered around everyone, not just him :3

Yeah, I want it to focus around others as well. Hence, why I'm putting up the stories of others. Thanks for the advice. :3

I have a whole bunch of yellow daffodils so if people need a bouquet I can help. This is a great cause and I hope VO will be ok this year.....not thtat its ok to lose your father but better then he was last year.

Cancer has made a big impact on my life and my family, starting way before I was even born. My real grandmother died when my mom was only 13. My mom had to go through a lot; paying for school so her dad could play off the medical bills, getting a step mother who wasn't exactly nice to her, etc. When I was a baby, my grandfather suffered through lung cancer. He lived. The year my parents divorced, the cancer came back and he died. It was very painful for me to go through. He was the first person who I was close to that died that I could ever have remembered.

Last year, my priest, who's been almost like a father to me, got cancer in his throat. He's still recovering and has been forced to retire.

I sometimes consider it ironic that my star sign is cancer.

Anywas, Vo, my sufferings are no where near as bad as yours are. I can't even imagine what its like to lose a parent. I'm terribly sorry for your loss and hope that as the days go by the pain will ebb away and that you will keep memories of your father close to your heart.

But seeing all the stories here, seeing everything that cancer has done.... ugh, it's hard. I lost my mother to cancer, when I was four. I don't remember her very well, but what I do remember mostly took place inside a hospital room with her hooked up to an IV machine. Now, 11 years later, I am watching my grandmother (who is my legal guardian) struggle with her chemotherapy. I am sure she'll pull through, though; she's a very strong woman. It's just hard, seeing someone you love being pulled down by something so awful.

VO, and anyone else who has had loved ones taken by this horrible disease, I'm here for yah~ I'll try my best to do as much as I can for this thread&tradition, yupyup~

As devestating as cancer is, it's heart warming to see the movement coming back this year.

I still have a few extra boquets kicking around that didn't get distributed last year, if anyone needs them. And 275 daffodils.

I'm going to go back and modify the banner I made from last year.
