Edit: I'm closing this down for multiple reasons, the main one being I keep doing other things. That tells me this isn't a priority to me, so there's little reason for me to keep up the pretense I'm going to come back to it when I run out of things to do.
If someone else would like to take the reins, though, I'd love it.
You've seen the complaints about gold inflation in the GCD, SF, and a probably other places.
However, I have yet to see something that resembles the U.S. Census's Food Cost and Prices survey.
The U.S. Census's Food Cost and Prices survey tracks the cost of specific food items over the course of multiple years, and how much food a set amount of money can buy you.
I'd like to start something similar with Gaia's items.
I want a cross section of items, from low end to high, with documentation of gold and/or GC prices for all. Screenshots of trades for single items, or the item graphs, from previous years with visible dates would be ideal. However, as this is not always possible, any and all information regarding prices is welcome. Old Tekteks with total value or individual item prices are just as welcome as the trade or marketplace screenshots. All items and prices collected will be summarized in the next four posts, in low-mid-high-tekteks order.
This is not the thread to voice opinions about the inflation; it is merely a data collection thread. Please respect that, and take those opinions to SF, the GCD, or wherever else it is relevant.
