...also, why exactly does the Gaia on the Go app need to access my phone calls made?

I've never used facebook on my ipod touch cuz i'm paranoid it'll randomly upload my pictures or something. I don't know how likely it actually is but yeah

Also, I've had Facebook installed on my phone ever since I got it and I've never had a problem with it doing anything that I didn't authorize first.
So I don't think it's that big of a deal. Most apps will "need" to access certain information, but I don't think they actually do.
Though, if you feel that it's something you just want to avoid, don't install it.
