Guys, don't get worked up over auditions. This last month we got a lot of people that were just trying too hard. This month I don't think I'll be giving audition material in advance -- I don't want people spending hours rehearsing and planning every little bit out.

I just hope Arq doesn't kill me for quoting her so much.

We practiced four times.

Two regular rehearsals, Two dress.

Yeah, four rehearsals.

First two we take an act at a time and sort of inch our way through it, starting and stopping to give directions, take suggestions, and to answer questions. The next two are dress rehearsals where we run the show like a performance and I get to yell REMEMBER IN THIS SCENE WE WERE GOING TO ____ and THE ENTRANCES/EXITS NEED TO GO MUCH QUICKER HERE etc. etc. and everyone gets to practice costume changes.
