This sort of addresses a lot of people and I don't like quoting so...

7:20 PM Central is when we started. We don't normally practice on performance night, so if you walk in and see us moving about, pull up some wood because we've already started. XD

For some reason, our theater neighborhood is not cooperating us, so we moved our performance to 66 Barton 002016. Please friend Lott[e]Opera to ensure that you're notified of all changes. I do believe it was posted in the thread as well, but I could be mistaken.

Tonight's performance started rather late since it was suffering from extreme lag at first, but then it resumed eventually. (And was promptly plagued by a pair of nasty trolls. XD) They eventually left and the show proceeded as usual.

We're currently about three-fourths through the second act now, I wager. (There are only two acts.) We apologize greatly for the confusion tonight, but I mean, you have to admire our fortitude. XD
Good show. 3nodding
I missed about half of the first act.
I'll have to make up on Saturday.
Are you on the list?

Performance is ovaaaar! Hugs all around! -hugs-

First act went pretty well. Props to whoever did improv bits! A few trolls ( *cough Virus Core and Red Version cough*) hampered our progress and generally annoyed the hell out of everyone, but they left. (Praise holy baby Jesus!)

Second act went much better. ^^ Of course in both acts there was the demon beasty of lag and the demon beasty of quickie part replacements, but overall it went well.

Then again, it was the first night. By the final night, we'll have worked out all the kinks (and hired Trollbusters to kill annoying people. twisted )
Merry Christmas
Happy Hanukkah

D: I'm so sad I missed it...
But I had practice. WHY we had practice during finals, I'll never guess.

Okay, my thoughts on tonight...

It seems that every show since Rent, Gaia has been determined to cause disaster for us. This very strange inability to access our square... WTF? lol But, we continue to overcome the challenges thrown at us, and I'm pleased with how we managed to move from one theatre to another unlike what we'd rehearsed in and managed to get going in about half an hour.

Yeah, we had a false start, and I hope we never have to start a show over again, but I think it was the right thing to do at the time and that we were better for it.

As for the trolls -- yeah, it happens, and this isn't the first time we've encountered people like this, albeit never so prominently at an actual performance. My policy on trolls is to ignore them. Don't yell at them, don't acknowledge them in your character's lines... ignore them. They'll hopefully go away, but even if they don't... The show must go on. Yes, it's VERY frustrating and of course causes a lot of problems -- we don't ask for silence during performances for nothing -- but I think there's a certain level of professionalism we should try to maintain. Overall, I think we handled it pretty well and they did leave smile

As far as Opening Nights go, it was pretty average for us, but I think taking into account all our difficulties in getting it off the ground it went VERY well.

Here's hoping we can be back in our theatre come Saturday. Pretty cramped in n00d's house

Oh, and here's the actors/audience group hug at the end XD

I applaude your efforts, GTC.

I think it's rather marvelous.
Oh, and no shadow avatars! One less thing to worry about heart
I've established audition times for the Phoenix Troupe's performance of Avenue Q.

If anyone wants to check it out.

Aww! heart I'm glad someone got a shot of the group hug! whee

I'll be back for the next performance. You guys really embodied the
saying "The show must go on!". Great job ^_^

Are you on the list?

You didn't see any Shadow Avatars? Funny, for my computer after Boq, Elphaba, and Fiyero left to costume change I couldn't see them at all. Oh well. My computer's an a** anywho.
Do we have cast lists yet for any of the other nights? (BTW, I'd really like to be assigned tomorrow if it's not a problem, since I made sure to clear it out ahead of time.)
Ooo! This is going to be fun! >w<
Dear GTC Members and Audience,

I am sorry I was unable to complete my role as Nessarose last night. I wish to apologize profusely.

My family just got a new Apple computer with a fast Internet connection, and I am still not used to it. I was using it for the performance, and it was fine all while we were waiting for the show to start, but then, literally the SECOND "No One Mourns the Wicked" began, it started having problems. I am still not sure what the problems were, but all of a sudden I would be the only avatar moving in the house.

In any case, the only scene I was able to actually perform in was the first classroom scene, in which Nessarose does not have any lines. I apologize if this caused any problems for the other actors, which I'm sure it did.

I was not able to get on after Towns booted me out during "Dancing Through Life," because it said that "player already exists on this server". I interpreted this to mean that someone without computer problems took over the part. Whoever it was, thank you.

In closing, I am extremely embarrassed about this. I have only ever missed one performance out of all the real-life plays I've been in, and that was because I was sick and physically could not move. If you wish to remove me from the cast for Wicked, I don't blame you. I would probably do the same thing.

Sincerely and apologetically,
[Stupid Laura]
