Hey, guys? Sorry to say this the day before, But I don't think I'll be able to make it to Saturday's performance. My mom is taking me to the Celtic Festival with a friend, and I'm afraid I won't make it by the time of performance. I hope we have people that can sub for me =(

Again, really sorry that I may not make it. If this isn't the case, I will report to act.
If I make it a little late, I'll just watch.
Once again, terribly sorry.

Well, this is disappointing, but you did all you could. This is just terrible luck, indeed. Still, we all did really great tonight.
I highly apologize for leaving you yesterday. ): The towns died on me early, which was totally unfair.

Oh, that is fine, Lady Dahlia, the Towns died on all of us. To you plan to attend one of the other two shows? I may be attending to one tonight, if I can, but I know I will be unable to go to the one on Saturday. Which is rather disappointing, because I never got to see the end of this play.
Yes, I'm definitely coming! biggrin
Wait a second---- it finished!? NOOOOOOOOO! crying I MISSED IT!!! emo
You know what? Next time we're cast this thin I'm recasting the show. This is ridiculous. Another night of a lack of cast leads to a 20 minute late start and by intermission the audience wasn't even paying attention and we voted to cancel.

April 25th - Cancelled
Cast at time of cancellation:
Phantom/Debienne - Dreamsofstars
Christine - Patta*
Raoul - Madame le Guillotine
Carlotta/Persian/Poligny - Cascara*
Narrator/Richard - Esabelle Ryngin /*
Moncharmin/Philippe - Arqueete*

We haven't cancelled this much since... first Rocky Horror, I think. And it's not even from lack of audience. There were times in the past where we could double cast shows -- now I come on every night and have to figure out how to deal with as much as three missing cast members every night with only one sub available -- myself. My patience is running out fast.

Think of me long enough...

The last one is tonight?! gonk

I'm going to be away all night... this is where I wish you could videotape this kind of stuff on the computer... sad

And I'm definitely joining you all in a month or so, when school finishes.

Perhaps you should plan on having subs. Like naming those who do not make auditions but can still act subs, that way they could also learn the ropes while they practice with the group and we would have all the subs we need in case this sort of thing happens again.

We do, actually. It's served us well in quite a few other shows, though I think we were unlucky with this one.

I found a perfect way to video the performance!!!

Use the free trial version of SnagIt.. just Google it and you'll see the official page.. I'm going to test it out by freaking cyberers out in Towns now.

That way you can upload it to photobucket or somewhere and keep a version recorded for posterity, and also for some who weren't able to see the performance.

SnagIt trial only works 30 days, but that's enough for two performances if you download it the night-of the first play you want to record. Just alternate the job between people every two performances... someone who isn't in the play can just sit in the audience and record.

Also - Camtasia is another program, 30 day free trial, similar. ^_^

Oh, you don't need to tell us we need subs razz By now we know the best way to do things is to have an entire cast of people on standby, but we haven't had enough people to do that in so long. We do cast everyone we think if capable of performing -- I think you overestimate how many people come audition. Definitely only a fraction of people who come to see performances.

Ceribri -- I have to get ready for the performance so I don't have time to look at it now, but I'll check it out for next month. We have managed to piece together videos from different performances to form video of one whole show in the past -- our first run of Spring Awakening -- but that was a very roundabout way of doing things...
FINALLY a successful performance. Good job guys. It was a good closing.

Okay, and thank you Arqueete!
I'd be happy to help on a Tuesday/Wednsday night because ..well... House got moved to Mondays but that's not relevant for next month. mrgreen Saturdays are looking better because Torchwood is over now too. Not sure if that's a good thing yet though. xp

And I think the (*) means that person was a sub, but I could very well be wrong, so pay no attention to the girl behind the laptop. razz

Ceribi is absolutely right. XD The people with *'s are people performing a role that they weren't assigned for that night. Although, Silverah, in my high school, ITS members got *'s by their names too. XDD
