Little shop of horrors ooohhhhh. ~~ One of my favs, definitely. Arq, how do I get you to be awesome and remind me that it's going on so I don't forget. >___>

<Dlin> I think blue is more like one of the Weasley twins than Tonks.
<Dlin> Well, think of it. They defy authority, are very clever, and have a rude sense of humor - but are loyal to a fault to the right cause.

Hey again! It's been a LONG time since I attempted to do this. Is there a link to the script I can look at or will it be provided during auditions?

Um, there may be some layering going on, so if you arrive/arrived and the house appeared to be empty, post here or tweet @spheretheatre and let me know.

If you have a cell phone you can do what I do and use the calendar feature and set it up to go off a little before the show's time. I set it for five minutes before.

Edit Looking good Arqueete! wink

So what's the deal with morning cast? Deal is there isn't enough interest being shown so at this point it's not happening. If enough people stand up and say they'd do it I can reschedule it.

Remember that evening cast auditions are tomorrow smile

I'm still up for the morning cast. smile

I do not have a signature. I bet I had you looking though.

I'm pissed. I planned to try out for LSoH casts (both morning and night) and my STUPID internet had to go down Wednesday night and I only just got it back today. Now, I'm gonna miss performing in my favorite play.

There's no such thing as overkill. Only "Open Fire!" and "I need to reload!"
Here's the script for bare... http://www.stellmond.com/bare.html It's a little ooold so I might go change up how some ensemble scenes are structured, but the story will be the same.

bare auditions... Yaaaay! mrgreen

Two people show up to auditions. Can't do a show with three people.

What do you want me to do, guys? Because I don't know anymore. We cancel and cancel and cancel and sometimes we get LUCKY and a show happens. People claim they're interested in being in and seeing shows, they say that there's nothing wrong with the schedule, sometimes we do obscure shows but we've TRIED doing mega-popular shows too. SAYING you're interested does nothing if no one steps up and does it, and then the people who DO audition often drop out or didn't pay attention to the schedule or just plain don't show up to rehearsal or worse, performances, and even when we can get audiences we have to cancel on them over and over because we don't have enough people to do the shows anymore.

GTC used to be popular. We used to be able to double-cast our shows. We used to have audiences of over 20 people all the time.

GTC used to be fun.

I'm at a loss as to how to get this back anymore. So do you want to be a part of this project? REALLY? Do you enjoy having GTC around? Then you tell me what I need to do to make it happen. Because I am tired and hurt that I write scripts and do costumes and go to rehearsals and performances and play other people's roles and I've done this for three years now when in the past two I can only pull out a few shows that I really enjoyed. I keep on pushing on in hopes of recovering that time when everyone loved this project. The original people who made this project work have moved on and there's just no one to replace them so I'm starting to no longer see why I should be doing this anymore. Do I want to close GTC down? No, I really don't. But there's no point of having the GTC when the GTC isn't doing shows anymore. Can't do shows anymore. So it's getting to the point where either we go on another hiatus or I hand GTC over to someone else or we move off Gaia or something. Because as it stands it just isn't working.

So that's it. No more hopeful talk or blaming it on the time of year or the show or Towns because those excuses have been exhausted. I think most of us can see the reality that no one cares anymore. People say they care but I can't believe they do when we can't even get together eight people who are willing to actually do the work to show it. And as long as that is the situation we cannot function. So go ahead and try and prove me wrong if you think I am because I hope I am but I'm just not seeing it. Maybe we've exhausted this project. Maybe no one cares about Towns anymore. Maybe three years is enough and it's time to put it to rest.

You tell me.

Really, I love the GTC. It's been two awesome years with you guys, and I love you all a lot.

But really, if there's nobody auditioning for anything and if you feel that people aren't interested, it may be best to do what's necessary. If it's not fun anymore, then maybe it's best not continue. Maybe it's best to pack our bags and go to another website/MMO or something. And honestly, I don't know where that website/MMO may be.

But I don't know.

I don't run the GTC. I don't write scripts. I don't organize these shows. I don't know ANYTHING.

The final decision is up to you, Arq.

I've been a member of the Gaian Theatre Company since June '07. I have no real-life acting experience, but I could care less.

Here a kitty. There a kitty...

Well said. Scaura makes good points. And even though I would miss the GTC sorely, if it's not fun then you shouldn't keep putting yourself through it just for our sakes.

...Watch a kitty go.
