We're inching along with the Inventory Arranger... it's close but just not there yet, this feature, along with community pages and gaia favorites are all really close to release!
No updates on Alchemy yet, but we'll have more new about it later.
Right now we're still asking Gaians for their opinions, nothing solid yet.
As for pet system, we made plans for a lot of features, and it'll probably take another 4 weeks to develop. Hope the result will be something really cool.
Yay for first post! As for the loyalty rewards, I don't have firm details on this yet as I mentioned before, but once I do, I'll let you all know! What I can say is that we are looking into finding new ways of rewarding people for non-monetary contributions to the site biggrin
Not really, there isn't any development on HoC at the moment.
If a user has filed a false report on you, you have nothing to worry about ^^ All reports are checked for accuracy before any action is taken.

Layering is much more difficult than it seems mainly because an item can have many layers, some layers are placed to make sure they don't overlap the hair, some to go behind the avatar, some to go over sleeves, some are for effects and some are made to mask off other items properly. There are even layers just for defining a shadow. It's not a matter of shifting a flat image up or down a line, so making a system that works with other items that also have multiple layers makes the task even more complicated. It's something I'm still looking into at this time.
Because I didn't realize that Uncle Kenny had put the deadline at 5pm, before he left for the happiest place on earth to get married. Just an honest mistake.
No. Not a lot of people did. Not everyone can stay on the computer 24 hours a day to raise a pet. A lot of people needed that extra time since there were tons of glitches and bugs. A ton of people were just about to turn their final pets into Blaze when you guys shut down the event. That one week could only do so much. A lot of people needed those extra hours.
You guys weren't aware of Kenny's post? Then you guys should look at the announcements more often and frankly you gave that last announcement too late as well. You should have posted that announcement last night so everyone would have been prepared for the event to end at noon.
This was my fault and I'm sorry. I was not aware Kenny had broadcast a time for the event to end. For any items purchased, they'll still be usable once the full pet system is released, so I would hold on to them.

1) Yes, we are going to offer event items in cash bundles.
2 & 3) We actually thought it would be a nice way for people to be able to get event items in case they missed the event. Since they were already easily obtainable in the marketplace, and people could get them without earning them anyway, we didn't realize this would be upsetting. As for the shirt name, it was just a name we chose because people could get it by participating if they so desired.
4) Participating in the event, getting achievements, making friends, winning in the event contests - these are all fantastic things. And earning an item is still a fantastic accomplishment - nobody can take that from you, or the achievement that comes with effort.
I like to put secret rooms around Towns 2. I'm not sure what the next one will be, but I think it is about time to bring one back.

It's possible, though I'd imagine unlikely. Of course, there's the problem of overflow if you were to get more than 2^32... which would cause you to lose all of it.
Might not be specific to the current Gaia app, but we're open to having more Gaia app for gold earning or with more community features. May not be aquarium specifically, but we're open to ideas.

Thanks for the message. A couple of things. Firstly, you and I talked a while back about being more direct about finances and talking about Gaia as a business. I said I'd make a thread, which I didn't have the time to do. I apologize - I did mean to have a more general discussion of Gaia as a business and I didn't get that done yet. As for breaking down where money goes, as I have mentioned before, all money that comes into a business goes into a pool of income, and then is paid out for various expenses. We don't take money, for example, from sales of CIs and only use that for the creation of more CIs. Money is fluid and goes to various parts of the company. I obviously cannot get into much more detail than this as it is business information but is there anything specific that you really wonder about?
Now, as for my thread in GCD, I am trying to get through as many posts as I am able and have only gotten so far. Not just with people that agree with me, but posts in the order in which they were posted. Basically, I am tackling them as I go through the thread. As long as the person isn't being abusive and just wants to express an opinion, than I am more than happy to respond but just haven't been able to yet. Just an FYI - almost two months ago I booked last Wednesday off for a mini-vacation as we had the 4th off, and I haven't been away since December. So I tried to get to as many posts as I was able, even on my days off, and will continue to do so, but last week was a tight schedule for me.
Finally, thank you for the feedback on changes you'd like to see to descriptions and your feedback on the whole angelic halo sale. I do appreciate your comments, and input.
Many of the games on Gaia have good gold earnout, and they have a cool down as to how much one can earn a day, so it's good to play through the different activities.

That is a really cool idea. Yes it's been a while since we've supported engraving, but the special items such as trophies are really cool. If it's not too hard to implement, we'll definitely add it in.
We can run a script that will run the calculations and figure out who would have been able to redeem a pet and grant them. If we have time we'll try to run this tomorrow.

Our efforts are currently on other corners of the site and not the chat system. We are seeking out ways to bring in another chat system, but we haven't found anything yet that will work for Gaia in the way we would like it to.

With the one week extension, I hope that those of you who participated in the summer event had gotten your event items. Last week at Anime Expo we've heard that there are those of you who had trouble with flash spaces, and we'll continue to optimize Towns 2 and making it run faster and with less lag. Meanwhile, we're focused on the upcoming pet system. It's a little more work than we anticipated, but hopefully the wait won't be that long.
The next summer movie is Pacific Rim, I must say I'm strangely attracted to large robots fighting monsters and I'll have to watch it on Friday. Am I the only one who's crazy about this movie?

So Lanzer last week I asked you about some layerin' issues. You said that you would look into it. Just wanted to know how it's goin'. 3nodding
First one is the Romantic Knight Aphrodite, Passionate Knight Venus, and Amorous Knight Isis. When you wear a shirt with long sleeves the armor of love and shoulder armor, it removes the sleeves. Might we get a fix for that.
Second is the gold and silver mystic items from Barton Jewelers. Could you maybe change the layer so it is in front of more clothin' and capes.
Third. I really like the arm mods from Rosamund's revenge, and redemption. Is there anyway that the (cavalier's mantle) from Reve Rouille could be worn with those arm mods. I noticed the arm mod from Art of Espionage can be worn with the mantle.

Overall, I really liked the most recent Event, but I had a lot of issues, especially towards the end, with the Tic Tac Toe Games. Namely, my opponent would often not show up, there would be errors, and there often were random Gaians hanging around. Do you have any idea what was causing that/Will it be fixed before the next similar event?

Just gonna keep it short and sweet since dinner is here! Steak, mashed taters, corn on the cob, cheesy garlic bread, and a salad! Yum!
1. If I had to place a guess, including the event items in the new bundle (Which is cheap at 250 for two new items! Noice!) is seemingly not going over well, at least in the GCD. Was there a reason these event items were included?
(Bit of advice, I wouldn't do that again, it seems to have cheesed a lot of folks right off. I'm not one, but I see a lot of it in the forum right now.)
2. I see that the manga is alluding to Jack vs EB for the Halloween event. I am not sure what you guys have planned...but can we have an option that allows those of us that want to remain neutral can do so? (I'm an Easter kinda person, but a good friend is very Halloween themed, and I don't want to take sides. And I know I am not the only one...)
3. Mandatory inquiry about Arranger status and harassing for Alchemy changes. Just getting that out there.
Anyway, I hope you all had a good 4th, and had fun at AX! Hope you all got a lot of swag!

Gaia is currently not making one, but we are ever on the lookout for a replacement! 3nodding

Unfortunately we had to make a number of cuts to our 2013 convention tour and Metro Con was one of the cuts.

This was the first rat item on Gaia and it arrived already deceased. I forgave you at the time because it was the first rat item and I have loved and hoarded them. However since then, you have released another rat item that not only references the plague(omg get over it already, it was centuries ago!) but also has a dead pose. 2^32-1, a bit over 4.34 billion.
So I could have over 4 billion gold?
It's possible, though I'd imagine unlikely. Of course, there's the problem of overflow if you were to get more than 2^32... which would cause you to lose all of it.

Are you familiar with the Gaia App for smart phones and tablets?
Why not a Booty Grab app for tablets? Maybe an add-on to the currently available app, or a separate app altogether.
How it could work, is it either access the current running app's forums section for the Aquarium forums, or it has access to the forum only, so that the user may view glowing tanks
Or, (came up with this while typing) it provides a list of currently glowing tanks, showing the specifications of each (I.e.: number of players, number of fish, certain fish inside, etc. )
The game would be as simple as it is now, instead of a mouse the user would use their finger or could move their tablet from side to side.
The colored gold specifications would stay the same, same amount of time and same power-ups, and the same daily gold cap.

Might not be specific to the current Gaia app, but we're open to having more Gaia app for gold earning or with more community features. May not be aquarium specifically, but we're open to ideas.

Thanks for the message. A couple of things. Firstly, you and I talked a while back about being more direct about finances and talking about Gaia as a business. I said I'd make a thread, which I didn't have the time to do. I apologize - I did mean to have a more general discussion of Gaia as a business and I didn't get that done yet. As for breaking down where money goes, as I have mentioned before, all money that comes into a business goes into a pool of income, and then is paid out for various expenses. We don't take money, for example, from sales of CIs and only use that for the creation of more CIs. Money is fluid and goes to various parts of the company. I obviously cannot get into much more detail than this as it is business information but is there anything specific that you really wonder about?
Now, as for my thread in GCD, I am trying to get through as many posts as I am able and have only gotten so far. Not just with people that agree with me, but posts in the order in which they were posted. Basically, I am tackling them as I go through the thread. As long as the person isn't being abusive and just wants to express an opinion, than I am more than happy to respond but just haven't been able to yet. Just an FYI - almost two months ago I booked last Wednesday off for a mini-vacation as we had the 4th off, and I haven't been away since December. So I tried to get to as many posts as I was able, even on my days off, and will continue to do so, but last week was a tight schedule for me.
Finally, thank you for the feedback on changes you'd like to see to descriptions and your feedback on the whole angelic halo sale. I do appreciate your comments, and input.

Hey there! So this is an idea I've had floating about in my head for some time, but remember 'Engraving'? It used to be done on the jewelry items in Agatha's store. I understand it isn't likely to come back any time soon, but I thought a similar feature might be useful on Fishing trophies? Real trophies get engraved, and I thought it'd be cool if our virtual ones sported our username, as well as the month/year which they were acquired, the placing (1st – 10th) and even possibly the score we got to win it.

That is a really cool idea. Yes it's been a while since we've supported engraving, but the special items such as trophies are really cool. If it's not too hard to implement, we'll definitely add it in.

Can we pretty please with fluffs on top get the last fluff we were working on credited? I know for certain it would help out a lot of people who are angry and might go a long way towards restoring the userbase's faith in events, even with the release of event items in the cash bundle.
We can run a script that will run the calculations and figure out who would have been able to redeem a pet and grant them. If we have time we'll try to run this tomorrow.

Sorry for those who didn't get to turn in the last pet today. We'll look into it as we made the mistake in the announced closing time. Though a fair warning that the fluffs get their loyalty raised overnight, so if a fluff is not ready on Monday it wouldn't make it even at 5PM.

Our efforts are currently on other corners of the site and not the chat system. We are seeking out ways to bring in another chat system, but we haven't found anything yet that will work for Gaia in the way we would like it to.
