<> AMP Revision Guideline and Reference <>
Thur, November 9, 2006.

This is a RolePlay Reference and Guideline.
It was created in order to clairify, and make appairant
what roleplay destructive godmoding trully is.
This guideline was created because of the population
of roleplayers who yearn for a truly, more fair
roleplay enviornment. This guideline is only for those
thread owners whom would like to use it as a backbone
to support their "No godmoding" rules.
This guideline and reference has also been put together
as a legacy to be left behind for the newer roleplayers
in the name of the old legends who leave Gaia, so that
the society of roleplaying does not fall into a dark age.
Please enjoy.

The origional AMP was unclear on it's definitions
and descriptions. This is because it was designed
only to raise awareness about the things the writers
of the origional AMP disliked in the actions of other
role players. In addition the Anti-Munch Project also
included a number of terms that had absolutly nothing
to do with godmoding violations what so ever.

As a result the origional AMP was just a list of complaining
that could not be used as an effective or valuable tool,
or shield to defend role players and RP threads from
godmoding abuse. This is because the origional AMP
was focused alot less around godmoding and the real
problems at hand than it really should have been.

For this reason I have revised the Anti-Munch Project
into a database easily usable as a defence agenst
the violations of godmoders. Clear, crisp, decisive,
defining, and to the point, any beginner can read
this revised guideline and know how not to godmod,
how to identify when someone else godmods, and
how to address their godmoding without difficuly when
they are forced to make the violations of a godmoder
appairant.

As a compliment to this revised guideline there will
be updates that will keep up with the demand of
new violations, and new kinds of godmoding, so
that this revision will never be out of date.

As a delux compliment I will be opening an RP guild
with the soul purpose of defueling any enraged
arguments of godmoding incidents, as these incidents
often kill roleplays and threads. This guild will also
act as a referee unit to explain and make appairant
any godmoding mistakes that have taken place
in a roleplay, and suggest how they can be fixed.

In order to obtain protection from this new guild
a thread owner only has to ask. It is advised that
every thread owner who does not allow godmoding
in their thread, provide a link to this thread on
their first page in order to further protect their
thread from the acts of godmoding.

Enjoy your time on Gaia.

Alright then, welcome... this thread is officially
open for dicussion and debate.. please conduct
your conversations and arguments in a mature way.

-enjoy.
Ahem.

I nominate Amish-ing as an offense. Some people prefer tech. The Magic majority bitching about tech is annoying.

.::Yes, I hate it that when my character uses guns people say 'Oh you're Gmoding' or 'You can't use guns' It really ticks me off that after a short arguement about how I can't use guns they just ignore me... PUT SOMETHING ABOUT GUNS UP! gonk ::.

Well for anything I would like
to thank you for your feedback...

Before anything, I would like to clairify
something. And that something is that
There is no resource, power, ability, or
equipment (technologiclly advanced
or not) that can be considered godmoding,
As long as it has the correct respective
drawbacks, costs, and explainations...

Whats important is:

What is important here, is that to claim
that someone is godmoding because they
are using technology alone, instead of because
they are using technology without legit balancers
that make the use of these technologies fair,
such as respective drawbacks, costs, and explainations...
It's the same as saying that anyone using technology
anywhere is godmoding, even if they are using technology
in a roleplay based around technology.

The sad truth is that anything most
people do not like, they will rush to call godmoding.

The good reality is that using technology correctly
with the nessessary respective drawbacks, costs, and
explainations, is not godmoding...

However people complaining that using something
is godmoding, is not godmoding it's self.. and it
is not a violation unless it actually ruins a roleplay
in the specific way various forms of godmoding
have in common...

For this reason, what you request can not be
done, because they are not actually godmoding
by accusing you for godmoding falsely...
This is the sort of matter you take up with
the thread owner or an admin in control of the
thread..

The bottom line is:
The bottom line is that:

1. Using guns is not godmoding.

2. Accusing others for godmoding is not
an offence agenst the AMP revision because
it does not destroy roleplays the way actual
godmoding does.

3. In the future it will do effective good
to direct any users, whom do not understand
what godmoding trully is, and try to claim
as if they know what godmoding trully is,
to the AMP revision found above.

This way any misconceptions of godmoding
can be cleared with a little positive education.

Thank you, and enjoy your time on Gaia. ^_^

For the record....

No one has the right to tell someone else
how they can and can not make their character...

This also means no one has the right to tell
someone else what their character can and
can not use...

....However it is still offensive to roleplay threads,
and other roleplayers to make and use characters,
and character abilities or equipment that causes
destruction or deviation of the roleplay's quality..

Because ruining the quality and fabric of a roleplay
while in character is the exact definition of general
godmoding.. and it is what everyone should avoid
doing out of mutual respect for roleplayers....

Godmoding is just downright disrespectful.

"Amish-ing" What a funny term...

If the complaints about this continue
then I will release a seperate guideline
telling why telling people what to use and
what not to use on their characters is wrong..

Although a thread owner has the right to
tell you whats allowed in their roleplay..

...if they don't say technology of a cirtain kind
or technology altogether is an illegal element
to be added, then they are actually godmoding
if they try to keep you from using it halfway through...

It all depends on the thread rules..

But no one can tell you otherwise
what your character can and can not have.

If it continues "Amish-ing" (lmao) will be added
to that seperate guideline..

The guideline above is only for godmoding...
