You'll have to remember that this was a Chinese MMO, and China is quite a bit more oppressive when it comes to the people.

If Gaia did this, and did it for both genders...I would probably quit. This is an originally role-playing site, which gives you the freedom to do almost whatever you want. Including playing your opposite gender.

I wouldn't want to have to prove my gender to play a game with a certain avatar. If it
banned people from playing as the opposite gender (both male as females and
females as males) then I would get one of my friends to come over and act as though
he was me. xDDD I'm not using a female avatar. I wouldn't be able to confuse people
with my sexual avatars that look like girls.

Given that Gaia allows you to change your avatar's gender AFTER you create an account, I don't think that'd be an issue.
Gaia tends not to think things through, eg. the overseer still appears when you play Booty Grab, even though he's supposed to be defending the world from evil xD

But I'd GTFO4SRS if they implemented that.
