If I was no longer allowed to play a female avi, I would most definitely quit Gaia, talk to a lawyer about hopefully making a lawsuit, and then try to pull that through. I've spent a crap load of real money on this site, and if they are going to tell me I can't use what I want to use, then I am not going to just lay down and accept it.

Recently, a Chinese MMO decided to freeze all accounts of males who were playing as females, and in order to play as a female, you have to prove that your a female via webcam. Funny thing is, women are still allowed to play as males if they wish.

It sounds like the Staff at this MMO wanted to abuse their MMO and meet women.

But if I couldn't play as a female avi anymore, then Gaia would end up being the loser. I doubt I am the only one who thinks this way. If Gaia wants to continue to grow then they will have to allow us a few freedoms.

Then again China doesn't really believe in free speech and all that so I am not too worried Gaia would do this. Gaia has enough problems as it is with figuring out how to talk to us.

That would certainly press a few buttons on a lot of people on Gaia that like to cosplay male or female characters or simply have a character of either gender. I'm definitely female, but I would be one of those outraged by such a move. neutral
