I really dislike formats that are like, huge walls of code to pop into the TekTek toolbar. Song lyrics, rainbow gradients, 987234 images...
gaaaaag.
I don't think mine's too intolerable.

'Stuff' like pictures and whatnot doesn't bother me, though overlarge text is just annoying. Furthermore, if the text is too small or light, it's nigh impossible to read, that truly annoys me. -_-

I used to use a bulkier post style, but I finagled with some things and cut the picture down into my sig after a short string of complaints. My current one is nice and simple, but it catches your eye, particularly if you're a fan of Timmy. XD

I think they're fine as long as you can tell them apart from the actual post. I mean some of those in the A/M/C.... burning_eyes

Huge Post formats - When the art they use is larger than what they post its just annoying. Keep. It. Simple. Stupid (and whats with all the ugly large avi art lately?! If your going to be obnoxious at least make it look good. )

If its large I will adblock the large images regardless of quality.


Now for color.... light colors I will 99% of the time just skip. I don't even want to waste a second highlighting their post just so I can read it.

Well, ********. Mebbe nobody should have images in their posts then?

I mostly hate when you quote them you have to scroll through a million pages of code almost.

There was a time I went into the AMC. Rows of LJ icons, random quotes and lyrics, and worst of all, they were quoting someone who was quoting them. DOUBLE THE BAD POST STYLE. D; I like to think that my post style is not on the same level as that.

I keep mine nice and simple. It makes it easier for people to read and it makes me look intelligent (even though I'm not).

One time, I was in a thread where people who had ridiculous posting styles were quoting each other. Imagine post styles with a row of icons, lyrics, coloured text, one line of actual discussion, more lyrics and more icons, repeated over 15 times on a single page.

There are people who post a WALL of song lyrics in a dark color, post their one-sentence comment in a color and/or size that I have to strain to read, followed by ANOTHER wall of text at the bottom.

WHY?

My posts are annoying, yes-- I mean, look at that graphic.
LOOK AT IT. YOU HAVE NO OTHER CHOICE.
But at least they're readable.

post styles are dumb, if you can't get attention from the actual words you say , not the "style", you shouldnt be posting at all.

If I come upon a thread with a long wordy first post I usually go onto the next thread. I don't have the patience to read it especially if its a repeat topic. xd
