Welcome to Gaia! ::

Images that are huge. Overly large text. Small text that makes me swear I need glasses. Bright colours that leave spots in my eyes.
I find it annoying when I quote people with very intricate post styles and can't find their posts. Probably the most annoying thing is people who type in huge fonts, though. My brain is actually inclined to skip over those posts. Also, when the words in your post style are consistently bigger than your post, you should probably rethink that, no offence, anybody.

With people whose posts I read a lot and like though (I obsessively compulsively read nearly every post in a thread), I just skip over the post style, because I come to recognise where their post is located.

I adblock flobs, I ignore posts if I can't locate the content at first glance. I'm a snob when it comes to post styles .
User ImageI'm kinda annoyed by the post styles with cappy song lyrics, unredeable text and really, REALLY huge images.
I liek to keep mine simple, a little pixel thingy and the end of it, I like it minimalist.

I hate when people have those type of post styles. That is why I check and re-check mine before using it.

Will you follow my Sins?
Beware my pink text of doom~
>:]

If I have to write a TON lot, I use the basic text because I know a big blob of pink can hurt the eyes sometimes ( especially mines x__x )

And that's why signatures and profiles exist. To gush out everything you want to put in it. No need for picto-spam and lyric-raep.
Seriously.
i hate it when the styles have bazillions of lyrics, quotes , and / or pictures on it that you can't even see what they're talking about . |:
Personally I hate posting styles. They're as far as I'm concerned a garish eye sore. I find quotes to be pompous and pretentious in some cases, and in others excessive and mindless. The only posting styles with images I don't mind are ones which are small. Ideally ones sized at about 100x100, or somewhere in that ballpark.

Yeah, I have that problem alot.
Having to highlight or copy and paste someones replies cause I cant read them.
I also hate huge lagful images in a persons post, it's not like this site isn't hard enough to run as it is, y'know?
What bugs me the most is post styles that include song lyrics and such. It confuses me as to the content of the actual post...

Yeah, there are a lot of post styles that are difficult to read.
Any style that uses all caps, has a super large or small font, and/or has really light text is irritating.

It's rare that I find a style that I like, yet it has something that makes it difficult to read, but it does happen!
The main type of style that comes to mind in this case would be a style that has a very large image.
Sometimes it's the most beautiful avi art, but it's way too distracting to use for a post style.

I don't like any kind of post style besides the default font Gaia gives.

It makes it so much more difficult for me to dissect other user's posts when I have to first delete the code around it. >.<

Lit·er·a·ture – noun writings in which expression and form, in connection with ideas of permanent and universal interest, are characteristic or essential features, as poetry, novels, history, biography, and essays.

"I'm a huge fan of post styles - when done correctly, and when unobtrusive. People that just crazy format and don't bother to put time into thinking about how it will look, if it is too big/small or too confusing, do bother me.

I put a lot of time into my post styles. I often revise them multiple times to make sure that they are attractive, convey my current emotion/thought/expression and yet do not interrupt my actual post. I always try to make sure that my text clearly stands out and is readable.

As far as other peoples post styles...
Generally, if you just have a line of something on top and on bottom, I'll usually skip to just what your actual post is and won't bother checking what the extra stuff says. If it's not pretty looking, I'll just skip to your actual text.

Anywho - out of curiosity... Is my post style too much? Too little? Just right?"

Actually, yours is really much more over-the-top than most but I LOVE IT. It's very eloquent anyhow.
This topic is older than Christ. And I ignore post styles that are hard to read.
