Welcome to Gaia! ::

I'm the green monster.

My dad would find some Christian guild and debate there. Mom would just play the games and maybe go to a bumping thread. My sister and her husband have Gaia accounts, but they never get on.

Fear me.

My mom would never be able to go past the newbie quest >.>;; She's barely able to handle google... she simply don't like computers. My dad might find it fun for two hours and then go back to watch soccer xd
The rest of my family would probably think it's a site for kids and feel bored before even completing the registration process. I don't even feel worried.

I think my mom would be alright with Gaia. I'm not really sure where she would hang out though, probably the Friends Chat or Chatterbox. I already know what her username would be D: My dad... I'm not sure where he would hang out either. My dad would never join Gaia, but my mom might. I know she would be on Jigsaw like crazy. That's probably all she would do. I'd have to gift her a lot of stuff to help her have a decent avatar. When she played Pogo, I'd dress up my mom's avatar as well! xD I have friends who play on Gaia so, I'm good with that. :]

My parents would never join Gaia. For starters,my mum struggles to write out an email, let alone figure this place out. If for some crazy reason she did join, she'd probaly wander into the GD by accident. Then presume that I spend all my time there and make me leave Gaia.(Even though I never go there) She over-reacts over everything.

My dads has better computer know-how then my mum,but he would never join because he is always super busy.

The one person in my family I wouldn't mind joining is my older brother.(I've tired to get him to join in the past)He is really good at English and never uses text speak(even in texts) so he wouldn't be writing n00by posts. He is also really good at avi making, when I'm stuck on an outfit he always knows whats wrong with it and what needs to be changed.
My sister's on. Thankfully, my parents aren't. I'll leave it at that.
My family wouldn't be like that. xD My sister already has a Gaia, and she removes me from her friends list when I do something to make her mad. I could see both my parents playing zOMG together, since they already obsessively play Mafia Wars on Facebook.

My mom has been on Gaia since end of June. It's not so bad. I've helped her be relatively non-noobish... and I get the added perk of randomly getting Gaia Cash from her, since she's hooked on EI's and RIG's and enjoys sharing. whee

I can't see my dad ever joining though. He has his own set of websites he likes to visit.
My father is an internet failure XD
He doesn't much care so the scenario won't ever come to pass for me...though I wouldn't mind him joining, he's pretty cool and laid back :B
He'd feel right at home among the anime fans I fear XD

My sister joined recently and we get along fine ^^

It would be annoying...

My Mom will pester me with... "What are you doing?", "Who are you talking to?"... It's rather something I don't want to relive on this website -_-

Not to mention My Dad would be a pain in the a** some how... Because he always going to annoy me about doing something around the house or what not..

And last but not least... My big brother... He would find something to irritate me or try to embarrass me, He can be really annoying not to mention, when I'm correct he threatens to punch me!

But there is a good side! My other big brother and his wife [They gotten married a few months ago] Would go perfectly on this website!

So yeah :

If that ever happened to me, I'd hide on my mule forever. I don't want my relatives here! I get on the internet to escape from them! gonk
My father can barely manage to turn on a computer, much less work these series of tubes, so if he ever made it to Gaia, I would be very shocked and impressed. He'd probably just get confused by everything here, since he hasn't kept up with pop culture since, like, the 80s.

My older brother is more skilled with working these danfangled computrons, but if for some reason he joined, he'd probably wander around for a few hours, then log off and never come back. He can't really sit still for long periods of time, so he'd probably get bored real quick.

My older sister would probably like this place, though. She doesn't know much about the animu scene, but she's married to a scifi geek, so I'm sure she could roll with the punches. She'd probably chat in the forums here and there, but would be primarily focused on dressing up her avatar.

And my mom... Well, my mom's been here since 2004. She even has a mule. And says that her main and mule, which are both guys, are lovers.

I doubt they would enjoy this site very much rofl
My Mother isn't overly experienced with forums where as my Father is only interested in forums that deal with RVs and the various cars in my family.

My younger sister was on Gaia for a period of time, and is in fact the reason why I joined in the first place, so I suppose I would only be surprised if she came back.

With my family though, I wouldn't bother to give them my username. It wouldn't be a matter of embarrassment or the like, but the fact is they have so many ways of communicating with me, do they really need Gaia as well? I think not (lol)

Haha, I had to laugh when I read the opening to this thread... because my mom has joined Gaia. And I love it!
My mom had watched me play with Gaia for a long time, and she was always extremely interested in what I was doing.
She's the one who got me into video games when I was little, so I hold her responsible for my love of pixels.
In a way, it was only natural for her to want to play around with an avatar on Gaia. She's always been young at heart.

Times have changed and Gaia is very different from the video games my mom used to play when I was little.
She's more into the dressing up the avatar and playing with her aquarium features, rather than joining in on the forums.
She has a blast playing with games like slots and pinball though. xD

Honestly, I get really excited when I see that my Mom's online-- which is a LOT. She's more addicted to Gaia than I am!
And it's extra fun now, because she's constantly going to Target to get cash cards for both herself and me.
I can definitely not complain about that. 3nodding
Lol I've seen so much hilarious stuff when parents join forums / Facebook. I'd accept her friend request, then surreptitiously delete it. And change my comment settings. Thank God she isn't technologically inclined, eh? >w< I love my mom, but she's a bit ditzy and invasive.

Milk Kittea's story is really cute, though!

Haha, thanks! I love sharing my "my mom joined Gaia" story with people.
I hope it shows that having parents around isn't really a bad thing in some situations. 4laugh
