Your Mom & Dad join Gaia!

Picture if you will a pleasant evening with your family where they announce that they want to join that dress-up doll avatar site you're always on. Mother will have a noob-ish user name complete with numbers at the end and insist on being online BFFs. Father use his profile to post up pictures from family vacations, including that embarrassing one where... no comment. Your younger sibling will stalk you, replying to every thread you post in about how your opinion doesn't count because you're a moron. And that is nothing compared to when Mother sends out invitations to your grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc....


If your RL family wanted to join Gaia...
Would they be like my hypothetical family from hell?
Would you welcome them openly? Claim to have quit? Use a mule?

my mom has a gaia account.

she hardly uses it.

my siblings don't use gaia because they think it's stupid. xD

my mom's a good gaian.

she donates to the site once in a while

we chat on here sometimes, but more often than not she's jut playing games. :3

I wouldn't be able to bribe them off by saying I left the site, because they know I'm on
it nearly 24 hours a day. If they joined, then it would end up like when they joined
Facebook and I was too scared to go on any more in case they talked to me.

I think my sister knows my username as well, so she'd tell them and they'd post-stalk
me until I accepted their friend requests. It would be terrible, and I'm glad my whole
family hate anime enough that even just looking at Gaia makes them angry.

Unfortunately, though, my mother seems rather interested in the Jigsaw and Word
Bump games.

I can't really see my Mom on this site... it's kinda... weird. My dad might putz around in the tech forum, and I can see my sister in the ED until she got fed up with the know-it-alls and/or being told she's wrong all the time.

I'd definitely give them the name of a mule and say I'm on much anymore. I dodge my mom on Facebook, I don't need to do that here, too. >_>

I'd be fine with it because, well, my sister is already on Gaia and the only shame with that is she's a GD-er. My partner and his two kids are also Gaians so yeah, for me Gaia is already quite the family affair. XD
I'm fine with that though, after all I was the one who introduced them all to this site in the first place. <3

my brother is on gaia, but he doesn't go on much. my
mom would probably frequent the extended discussion
and go to the religion or politics board (or both) and spiel
her theories and beliefs with no real proof to back her up,
which is what she does in real life, so i'd be embarrassed
by that. my dad is too technologically stupid to know what
the internet is. he is so computer illiterate, in fact, that
he thinks i'm doing my school work when i'm actually on
gaia.

and whenever we got in a fight, she'd send me a comment.

but this is if she actually figured out this place, which she never will... she's not very good with computers.
my dad could probably go on this place if he tried. the GD would make him mad....

My parents hate this site... Whenever they see me writing in the reply form, they ask me, "Who are you talking to?" "What is that?" or tell me to, "Get off, you're wasting our download limit."
I doubt I could was 24GB a month just by looking at Gaia. scream

On a side note: My mother used to like anime, like ooooold as anime, so I think she'd kinda like the avatars.
And my dad... Sci-fi, comic book, music and car freak. SO MANY POSSIBILITIES FOR HIM.
