The Von Helsons dislike Gambino because he used to be the most powerful man on Gaia and they're the new rich people in town. Gambino hates them because they kicked him while he was down by kidnapping his son and banishing him from Durem.

Now Gambino is rich again, and the von Helsons aren't happy about what he might have planned.

They fight over popularity for the most part. The point is to add suspense. A storyline to Gaia.
