I just recently discovered that there were "lite" versions of expensive aquarium fish. I am not sure if thats a recent development or not, but I got two of them in the daily chance.

I would love some information on them, and your opinion as well.

Lite fishes only live 1 month, don't trigger booty grab, and drop alchemy componets
they were introduced in this announcement

Also please use the Q&A forum next time please
unless you are planning on turning this into a discussion thread
sorry I can't really tell from the OP

Me too, I got one in dumpster dive and then I found them in the marketplace just 45 mins ago XD
the life pan is shorter. I think it was the cuddlefish I was looking at normaly it's 12 weeks but the lite is only 1 month

I'm glad since I only have the tank to look at It's not like I get anything out of it. I can still have interesting fish and not bran the bank

I wish I got nothing but fish in daily chance I always get gold or crap
I like the idea but I don't bother much with my Aquarium so I just dump my fishes into the Dumpster Dive.
Although, maybe I will keep a few next time too see what kind of components they drop.
I stuffed my tank full of them just so that they'll die and I'll have their drops, but I've been getting at least one in DC almost every day since they were released and keep pulling them out of the dumpster. The drop rate is getting a little bit ridiculous sweatdrop

I've been hitting Dumpster Dive several times per day to build up a collection of lite fish. I want those alchemy components! So I'm looking forward to seeing what they drop.

My tank is so full of fish that it will no longer except names of new fish. When I refresh my aquarium page, the fish i just put in the tank are back in my inventory.

If we consider the fact that many people complained about Alchemy to not have enough components available and that the components drop rates are rare, then the drop rate of lite fish is not ridiculous.
Personally speaking, my tank was always filled with few goldfish, 1 arrow fish and 2-3 cuttles. Now with all the lite versions my tank is more colorful and happy. I also like the idea of components appearing from their drops, this will help alchemy a lot.

Maybe, though we don't actually know WHICH components are going to come out. Plus, I have so many fish at this point that I'll be able to fill up my tank all over again once this batch dies. Maybe if they upped the tank count to 20+ it'd be better.
I am glad I get fishes from the dumpster. The drop rate of getting items for my aquarium is actually higher than getting some random papers.

I still find it a bit laughable that the carcass of a small fish can hold items that possibly larger than their actual bodies!
Like an RPG that has wolves dropping swords and gold! xd

I actually think that this way of sending out alchemy items is very fair and very fun. Now alchemy is with in everybody's reach biggrin
