What items do you think everyone should have?

It's hard to say, the styles here are so diverse. I think the Masquerade is an item that can be used in any avatar though.

I would also say face/eye and leg mods are pretty useful.

Well I think two items everyone should have are Masquerade and Superior Form. Both have something for just about any avatar you might want to make.

Like a lot of people have said, the first two items I thought of were the Agape and the Masquerade.
Both are absolute necessities. At least, they are for me.

I believe all Gaians require a towel. Partly because it has great practical value. You can wrap it around you for warmth; you can lie on it; you can sleep under it; use it to sail a miniraft down the slow heavy River Moth; wet it for use in hand-to-hand-combat; wrap it round your head to ward off noxious fumes or avoid the gaze of the Ravenous Bugblatter Beast of Traal, you can wave your towel in emergencies as a distress signal, and of course dry yourself off with it if it still seems to be clean enough
