zOMG! is one of the most unique MMOs I have ever played.
- The concept of rings and limited "equip" slots for attacks, heals, buffs, etc. was new.
- You didn't have to wear any dorky "starter armor" or save up to buy a new weapon
- Free to play, no download required
Just wanted to correct the OP a bit though -- some of the zOMG! devs are actually still around. Granted, they aren't employed by Gaia, but we see Mavdoc on a weekly basis and [ JK ] once or twice a month. swarf also occasionally pops in every few months, and I know some people have his phone number and text him. While Gaia picking up zOMG! and employing them to work on it again is pretty far-fetched, they did have some awesome ideas for the expansion of the game:
I can't see Gaia making a completely new MMO story-line game which is as good as zOMG! though. And if they did, then the original game would probably have to be taken down due to how much server space it takes up. cry
P.S. Was this intended as a poke at Gaia for not taking down z! yet, even though they said they would over two weeks ago? ninja
