Christmas is as European as it is American. Even hallowe'en is celibrated here, only not with treat or tricking... In Sweden we go to the graves of our loved ones and light a candle for them.. That is why it's called Hallowed evening to begin with, it originates in Europe.

We even have Aprils Fools day.

So nothing is really anything "new" to us Europeans.

But over to the question. A summer event would be fun... Perhaps even on the 4th (as long as nothing of the Independence Day will play in it, because that would just be wrong to the rest of Gaia's population that is NOT from the US) as the admins might be free then.

I think a clean-up of the rubble would be cool... where you can find stuff, like "old" clothes and things for your house (if you have one). Perhaps even a little Grunny. ^^

3nodding What is a Gaia event without a little Grunny? But, I think that would be a cool idea. Have an event on the fourth, just a type of summer celebration thingymabob, with cleaning of the rubble. Then, if people want to make an Independence Day thread they can, but it will not be a 4th of July event. That seems sensible.

I'm hoping it won't be an event...but just a plot update, there's nothing wrong with that. As long as it doesn't specify it was chosen to be set at that date because it was the 4th of July, I think its fine. I'm sure any other days that plot updates were made could have been a holiday for someone, whether for a race or religion or group, but the admins didn't intend it to be for that holiday.

Nope I don't think 4th of July. They didn't have one the last 2 years, so what would make this year diffrent. Might be Halloween until a big event comes around.

I'm guessing something going to happen this month considering nothing has happened since march, other than the casino. But storyline wize nothing has happened other than that helicopter over Durem leaving. Most kids are out of school on summer break by now so they have to think of something to keep them occupied.
