Actually, it wasn't like that at all. XD

The kid profile doesn't even let you put money on the account.

And from what I could tell, you had to have a paypal account to create the parent profile. From there, you had to then verify that you wanted to charge your paypal account a certain amount/amount of times charged. Then you have to get on Gaia, tell it to charge the kid account $25 and then the parent has to approve it.

You get the item once you get the GC. So you really don't have to buy anything. Its just like getting a crystal box.

I want those cuffs but I'm not willing to spend $25 for a one pose item. Rare or not. Besides I find the site confusing and and it's just not something I'd use.

Same here. Gift cards seem easier.
As for teens, when i was a teen my dad got me one of those green dot cards.
It taught me to manage my money and I could shop online.
I didn't need a paypal for most places.

I can see how someone would be slightly outraged by paying 25 bucks for the sleeves but think of it this way: Gaia usually offers a free item, or Crystal box for spending 25 on a card or via paypal so I guess you can think of it as a "NEW WEBSITE EXCLUSIVE"?

If you're a regular buyer, it wouldn't really hurt. I guess it all comes down to if you want to use this new website or not...
