Personally, Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. Making the food, eating the food, having a perfect excuse to stay home and get wasted. Christmas comes second, the sex is usually better that day. 3nodding

And then Halloween, where you scare the s**t out of little munchkins and take the candy that they spilled all over the ground. Such touching and fond memories....

Thanksgiving is mostly just about food and eating and drinking... Stuff you get with every other holiday, only the others do it better.

July 4th - you get food and eating and drinking... plus you get to blow stuff up.

Christmas - you get food and eating and drinking... plus trading gifts

Valentine's Day, Easter, Halloween - you get food and eating and drinking... plus candy

St. Patrick's Day - you get food and eating and drinking... plus green and more drinking


Thanksgiving also has the worst decorations. If you even find any, it's always brown and orange and usually involves turkeys that just becomes material for that one vegetarian in the family to complain about.

You're talking about major holidays. Just because a holiday isn't major, doesn't mean that it's not a holiday, nor that it's not celebrated. Thanksgiving just happens to be(in most oppinions) the major holiday of our country's history holidays, excluding the 4th of July.

Why would you even label St. Patricks day as a retort? Green? How is that any better than brown? The candy holidays are just that, candy holidays. There's no eating and drinking anything else.

If you celebrate those holidays, and they mean that much to you, that's fine. Just don't just brush off Thanksgiving as if it's not important to anyone else.
