I don't think this one's funny as I am Latino and I feel as much of part of this community as anyone else.

I was just bothered by it. I don't know about you, but I deal with a lot of racism because I'm Mexican, and people look down on me. Back when I was in high school people would call me names.

I just want Gaia to be a place where I don't have to deal with those problems and where everyone can be nice to each other.

I'll be honest with you, I was going to keep my response short and simple by use CRUISE CONTROL and the typical title of everyone on the web...but I realised it would cause, indirectly, more of a hassle if I said that THIS f** CAN'T TAKE A JOKE.

Well, maybe I did overreact.

But still, those things that it said were hurtful.

There will always be discrimination, acknowledging it only encourages those who enjoy it.

In this situation, okay yeah, the kid needed to be told off about her image, you got me there, but the wonderful responces that amounted to showing off latin pride weren't really necessary.

Slap the kid round the ear, move along, don't speak in a different language about it purely to show that you can.
