Welcome to Gaia! ::

I sound like slight variations of myself when I read. Girlier for some av's, more masculine for others. Or maybe a tad pompous and yelling for trolls. Except I talk louder out loud than in my head. I have one of those voices that carry. sweatdrop I was born with it, and unless I'm whispering, everyone in the vicinity can hear exactly what I'm saying. However, since I plan to be a teacher, I guess that's a good thing. And semi-deaf people can her me just fine. heart

BATTLE SQUID only sounds different when I read his name. Then he sounds like the narrator in a play or TV drama. Like an announcer, sort of.

Edit: Oh! Oh! Someone said it perfectly: a cross between Battle Bots announcer and Duff Man!

For this reason, I love reading BATTLE SQUID's posts.

a watershow, some dolphins, and a can of tuna
That...makes no sense whatsoever. @_@
It is practically spamming BATTLE SQUID's thread.

Think that's how he's supposed to sound
Loud High Pitched squeaking?

I hear alot of users that way actually :U

Soul of The Wind
I read everything with my own voice, in my head.

Except now when I read 'Battle Squid' I read it like a cross between Duff Man and Captain Falcon D:

BATTLE SQUID might've agreed with you, but "watershow" and "a can of tuna" throw that argument right out! :<
-Going out of character for this post-
I always just read it with my normal real life voice.. I'm not creative enough to make up a new voice for myself.
My avatar here.. Of course has a French accent. He was born in France, yes?

Hmm.. BATTLESQUID .. I almost saw you with Patrick Star's voice.. Then I stopped and changed it to Ganon. "YEW MUST DIE! D8<"

Just depends, I actually made a thread exactly like this afew years ago lol. But more of challenging people to read with a different accent. I can't really describe what it sounds like, because I probably forget it right afterwards. :3
Yorkshire British accent like myself. I would be slightly more high pitched though. Pretty quiet. User Image
Huh, I've never thought of that before. I subconsciously read it in different voices depending on the user. At the most basic, I'll adjust between male and female avatars/users. ^^"
For more...forceful posts like the Battle Squid, I adapt accordingly. For the squid I guess it's a thematic voice?
Ergh, I didn't realize that I did this until now. D:
Oh, and I read (or type) my posts in my own voice, of course. My avatar never has a mouth so that's not much of a problem. xD

Since around a fortnight ago when I heard my voice for the first time
in years, I've been reading my posts in my own voice. Which isn't all
that hard because for a lot of my posts I read them out loud as I type.
For everybody else, it all depends on the tone I assume they're taking.
It's usually just a generic male/female voice, though, depending on
                their avatar's gender.

Are you whisper type? Not really.

Are you accent type? Depends. I do have an accent IRL, but when reading things. It mostly depends on what I'm reading and if I was listening to anything specific not too long ago. (Like when I come home from riding the London tube, I usually hear that automatic female voice that names every station)

Do you read all with your own, real, voice? Nah. I usually hear a manly narrator tone in my head. With a slight British accent.

      And
BATTLE SQUID makes me think of Mojo Jojo.

I don't even read with a voice at all... --'
Might have something to do with the fact that when i read books it's more like i'm watching a movie than actually reading.
I don't really know what Mrs Gonko's voice would be like, probably like mine, kinda boyish and quiet.
"Not even time to finish my cake?"

To me, small font is mumbling while large font and capslock are shouting. Otherwise, everyone sounds pretty much like my little brainvoice.

However, Battle Squid sounds rather normal, unless he's saying "BATTLE SQUID!" in his orange font, when it switches over to cartoon-announcer voice.

NO. THERE IS NO MORE TIME, EVEN FOR CAKE. FOR YOU, THE CAKE IS OVER. YOU HAVE REACHED THE END OF CAKE.
To me, BATTLE SQUID sounds like a deep British voice. I'm not sure why. I usually look at the avatar and a random voice pops into my head for the posts. A lot of people sound like the same voice as random anime characters.

It appears that a lot of people like picturing BATTLE SQUID voice as an announcer.
