I've never watched the Sherlock (becuse of Gaia)

But my room mate watches it.... and I just end up hating everything she watches because she's one of those annoying fan types.

Like, there was a time I enjoyed Dr. Who..... but now she watches the s**t out of it, and talks about it nonstop, and is really annying about it... and... I just can't enjoy it anymore.

I was almost turned off the show because of the too many force it down your throat boylove going on with the series. I credit my niece for getting me to see past the fandom on this one and enjoy the series during a marathon session of watching the first two seasons. And actually, because I had to pay attention to what was going on with the series because of no net access where we were watching it I began to feel sorry for John for all the people who thought in the series itself, and in the fandom, that he and Sherlock were a couple.

I kind of get tired of events because they inundate forums like this, and the novelty wears off on my quickly. It was fun this morning, but I'm really glad it's winding down now. I need things to read here because I'm too dull to come up with threads myself. emo

I lurked around the MLP forum for a bit and some users there were just so awful it put me off everything about it because thinking of them made my blood boil. Good lord, nothing is more sad and infuriating than a woman complaining about feminism. How dare other women not want to be housewives!

So now I can't veg out watching ponies with my little cousin without wanting to die a little inside.

aw com'on it's not that creepy. there's some funny stuff on it if you ignore the porn. porn is everywhere on the internet. especially tumblr.

i kind of think it's cool that she's unashamed of all the porn stuff. other people would usually hide that activity under a pen name and never share that stuff with their workmates, or claim it's theirs. at least she's being honest about it and not trying to hide it.

it's like...some people actually think Gaia and other roleplaying online activities are creepy, especially when people assume the identity of their game character. but because we're all into it it's like, no shame man, no shame.

in the same vein, some people might consider us (GCD'ers) fairly annoying, because this forum is pretty much a place we go to fanboy/fangirl over a lot of what Gaia does - i mean, if you're someone who has never used gaia or social avatar sites, seeing a friend go gaga over pixel images (item update) can seem fairly annoying in itself ;D

i understand how the feeling of annoyance can get but from a different perspective it doesn't really seam fair to hate on people for being nuts over their specific fandoms when we're always being nuts about Gaia/gaia's item updates/gaia's storyline updates/gaia's events. it's like, how can you hate on fanatics when that's how you get when it comes to the zurgs? treat/talk about people the way you'd like to be treated/talked about... smile

I don't feel like I'm overloaded with Sherlock, but that because I don't have an option about the show and no one I know watches it. So yeah, I just don't notice cause i don't care.

I rather Sherlock thrown at us then Reaps personal NPCs that took over for awhile, that was nauseating. So I understand where the 'hate' is coming from, I just failed to pay attention. xd

With that said, Gaia Artist why couldn't any off been super obsessed with Legend of Korra when it was on?! So many great items could have came out of that show.

I've read the Sherlock stories and seen the movies with Robert Downey Jr. in them...but that's about it. I haven't seen the Sherlock BBC series that's out right now, and I also have not watched Elementary. Still, I loved the original stories and think it's great that there are people wanting to keep them alive in some form or another.

I am not sure why Sherlock items are a problem for OP unless it's just that she's sick of hearing about one of the shows? I haven't noticed too many Sherlock items, but then again, I haven't really been paying attention. rolleyes We've gotten items for The Walking Dead and items referencing other shows, books, movies and so on...why should Sherlock be left out?

As for me being sick of something I don't like on Gaia? If I don't like it, I either look away or sign-off. If it's something against the rules, then it gets reported. It's really that simple. heart
