Santa Claus is on the map

That's strange. For me, caroling has already started, and I didn't need to catch santa to collect my gift. The last shop I visit to complete the caroling will give me the gift instead.

Basically your Caroling actions are counted as "Cheer". All he is doing is counting down how many shops you have left to carol to before getting a gift.

I don't understand why he's there. I am going to assume it is old coding that was left over from the 2k10 event.

Yeah, he moves around. I'm not sure how random it is, but I always found him somewhere different than stated in threads.

This wouldn't happen if they decreased the need to go to every Gold Shop. There use to be only 10 and then that increased to 15.
