This is how I'm rewarded for contributing to Gaia? crying
I have to actually retain a number?

Does anyone actually do this?
Do they actually expect you to save this number?
How can this system be improved?
It's terribly inconvient, espically if you go on justified reporting sprees.

I would have to agree.


The reporting system is extremly flawed.


In fact, I'm almost certain the report I filed about my hacking isn't going to be dealt with until a month from now.


And I'll probably have to use that "number" to actually get that delayed service...

I've reported a scamming, I save the numbers from the report and when I wait a few months I'll Pm the moderator the exact report ID# and the issue is resolved. 3nodding

I mainly save those for the bigger types of reports ( Hacking/Scamming/Abuse/Harassment ).

For minor reports such as trolling or flaming or over-sized signatures I just report them and go on with life. sweatdrop

I used to keep them religiously, but then I decided there was no point. I never report anything huge, but then I probably will retain the number for my records if something huge happens.

I don't really know what significant purpose it serves. I usually report misplaced threads, spammers and trolls. If they managed to escape, oh well. They won't stay free for long because I'm sure many other people would have reported them anyways.

i never been pmed back about a report i made.

maybe because i try to give as much usefull information as possible, as evidence that i didn't reported that person/post for nothing.

i think location on gaia does have influence.
i think a violation here, has an higher impact then in the chatterbox.
a couple of days ago, some idiot porn-troller ( which was probably a 4chan member, seen what he posted ) was screwing up the GCD.
with less then 30 minutes, that person stopped posting his crap.
and was never seen or heard of.

So do you think we should fill in as much evidence/info into the box provided? Whenever i report i always just type in "Scamming" or "violation of TOS" etc.
