OMGPOP games are leaving?

I just read the announcement.
Kind of a shame, mostly for the guys that played them, I never really got into them to be honest.
But this is what happens when you rent space to separate company's.
Just thought id say something about it.
I'm not even sure i have an opinion so to speak.
Any thoughts?

Actually, I believe it depends on the company who bought them, and what they decide to do. In this case it was a no brainer, just look at the airheads that bought them out. *sigh* I felt that everything from that moment on would be nothing but "cash items" so to speak on omgpop, its depressing.

Yeah sort of.
To be completely honest I've always felt that some of those games didn't really feel like Gaia.
The didn't (as far as i know) contribute to the feel or experience of the site.
Not to say that I'm so damn greedy that i think i should say get an item or gold for everything.
It is mildly depressing to see some thing just leave...
Who bought them out btw?

Well, I've read a few bad things about Zynga in some gaming mags.

Like I said, when I first learned of it...I was instantly depressed. Omgpop games were always so fun to play and now they'll just turn into another cash cow for zynga.

I couldn't care less personally. I don't mind games that are there just to play, no gold or items involved, but the games they brought were so weird and off-putting, to me at least. Hopefully if Gaia partners with another site, they'll have more traditional offerings.

Honestly, I kinda knew it before they even announced it... Sadly I didn't play it as often as I would like to. Farewell to Balloono and Draw my thing - It was fun while it lasted. :<
