Well, it's not so much that the gods KNOW so much as, they've had Gambino's death plastered all over the TV for weeks now going by what Edmund's said (and by the fact that it's taken months for us to get to this point in the manga sweatdrop ) and since Mei seems like the kind of guy who knows everything that's going on in the Dref underground, it's not surprising that he would know there are assassins gunning it for Gino.

That aside, he's totally bad a** without having even done anything yet rofl

And I think I'm kind of loving the Cordelle / Ziggy tension going on there - she totally seems to be crushing on him as impossible as that sounds giving her general feelings towards vamps.
