If someone donates an item... without telling the person s/he donates to that they expect payback, the donatee does not have to payback. Once the transaction is done, the item belongs to the donatee...

I think that if you are specificly told that something is a gift then it shouldn't need to be paid for, but if there was doubt that it was a gift she should give it back. Unless the owner specificly said that they wanted her to have the scarf forever as a gift from them, then I think she should give it back. I think otherwise its just being selfish. A friend is nice enough to let someone use an expensive item like that, and they just want to run off with it? Sounds more like a scam on part of your friend than the other person. rolleyes

I always donate 'cause I really have no use for any more than 20k sittin' around in my account x3.
I never expect anything in return, except for a simple thank you, that's all. I hate it when I donate and they say ABSOLUTLY nothing.
But I've never been donated to. D:
